I wouldn't object to seeing some of the Brazilian material. Off the top of my head, all I can think of being printed here in the USA is "Origin of the Red Bat" , which was in Ultra Heroes #3-4

Quote from user: Robb_KI would also like to use Fethry in some Donald stories. But, unfortunately, Sanoma doesn't currently accept stories using him (Similarly, they don't want to use Professor Ludwig Von Drake, who I also like to employ).
I'm always wondering why they refused to publish stories that have Fethry (or Ludwig) in it? Maybe because they thought that Donald should have only one cousin (Gladstone) or they have problem with his personality? At first they never had any problem when they published Fethry stories back in 60's and 70's in the Donald Duck magazine and they also created some covers featured him. He and Ludwig are not the only characters who don't appear in the new Dutch stories. Many of the Italian characters and some of the American characters like Rockerduck never appeared in any Dutch stories.

Quote from user: Robb_KI don't like that new design for Nestor at all. Frans Haselaar is the art editor. But. I really doubt that he or the artists would want to change to the new Brasilian model.
I'm not a fan of Nestor's new design in the Dutch stories either because he looks very taller compared to the early American Nestor and the Brazilian Nestor. I like his Brazilian design better because this is the Nestor that I know.

Yes, I'm working on a new Uncle Scrooge story with Glomgold and Rockerduck working together to try to defeat Uncle Scrooge, and I have already been informed that I'll need to change Rockerduck to an unknown billionaire. I don't understand the reasoning there.

Specific policy of wanting their material to be isolated from the Italian material and what's more associated with it, maybe?
EDIT: Robb, problem is, that's not really a "new" Nestor/Manuel design (unless you mean the modern outfit)- can it be called new when it's been used in hundreds of stories since the 70's?

I just want good duck stories imported, whether their Italian or Scandinavian. I recall Gemstone publishing many disappointing Egmont ten-pagers back in the day. For many years Italian stuff was under-represented, so I would hope that the European stories are chosen more on the quality than the country of origin.
Back to the wish list, I'd really like to see more of the American-produced 'foreign market stories' that were never published in the US before.

I'm with you, the country of origin means nothing to me - I want quality.

David - is everything out there fair game, or are there any areas that you are not permitted to tap into?

Printing the 18 William Van Horn comics not yet published in English (all of them 7 to 10 pages long) should be top priority for IDW. Reprinting those 5+1 rare Van Horn orange juice one pagers would be really nice too!

I heartily agree. In addition, there's a ton of Noel Van Horn material (both Duck and Mouse) that I hope we'll get to see. Is there any chance IDW might be able to solicit original material from the Van Horns or the Blocks? It would be great to see new traditional American Disney comic material again.

I hope we'll get the 2 Milton/Jippes duck collaborations we haven't gotten here yet. (http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=H+80006 and http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=H+81066)

I wonder what Jippes story is coming in our first WDC&S? Hmm... (-:

There is also a terrific 12-page Freddy Milton/Gorm Transgaard story in this week's Dutch Weekly (Nr. 26), which, by chance, also includes a nice one-page gag by yours, truly! I, myself, also, by coincidence,, had a 12-page Donald story printed in the Danish Weekly (Anders And 2015-26), drawn by Jan Gulbransson.
