Topic: Where to buy "Life and Times of Scrooge mc Duck"?

Hey, as the title might say, I was wondering where I can still buy it at a reasonable fair price. I missed this entirely when they brought out this magnificent masterpiece in one book. I do have the companion, but this is because it is printed way later.
I'm still looking for one, looked in comic book stores in Belgium and the Netherlands. So far no luck. The internet is a great source to find these, but they can be way too expensive...
It would also be wonderfull if someone in the US would be able to buy it from the Gemstone website. It said that they found a small stash of copies of it in their warehouse. But badly enough, they don't ship outside the US...

I wish it was that easy, but it is "temporarily out of stock" which means never...

There's one copy for sale on eBay from somebody in Austrailia for about $17 U.S.
And one used copy on Amazon for $46.

Oops, didn't realize that. Well, they're not getting any more from the publisher, I'm sure. That does mean 'never.'

The cheapest price currently available at Amazon is $93 for a used copy!

If you still want the book, you can find it at http://www.abebooks.co.uk/ . Not cheap, but at least they have it.

It's $66.50 plus shipping.

I guess http://www.abebooks.co.uk/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=1042520680 is the Companion, then?

Well, as I wrote: not cheap. But they have it.

Actually that one is one of the (4) Uncle Scrooge Adventures in Color by Don Rosa L&T albums: http://coa.inducks.org/issue.php?c=us%2fUSADR+4

I recently ordered a lot of Gemstone Disney comics from Amazon. I ordered them all at once but they were sent to me in 5 different packages (I guess they came from different warehouses) that all arrived on the same day. One package was packed perfectly, with the comics in plastic with cardboard on one side. These comics are in mint condition. All the other ones were loose in boxes and a lot of them are in terrible shape. Spines are bent, covers are scuffed and scratched (scratching must have happened before packing) even some pages are ripped. I can't believe how poorly these comics were packed by Amazon, and I think they were handled quite roughly in the warehouse too. Customer service has been prompt and friendly and have said that it is no problem to return the comics and they'll send new ones.
Has anyone else ever had this problem with buying comics from Amazon?

We are pleased to let you know the following title(s) has been shipped from Armadillo Trading Company/ backpack_books.

- The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck

I hope the quality is good :)
It is a used copy. I wan't to have one in mint condition actually :P

When I got the companion it was also a bit scuffed on the edges. Too bad it wasn't handled that good by the postal services.
I'll let you know how it turns out, and keep posting websites, I'm always interested in more

Yeah, it's very hard to find a mint copy unless you buy from an Ebay seller who knows what "mint" means and specifies the item as such. Only a collector would take care of the book as such. With a book-seller you're taking your chances.

I don't expect the comics I buy from an online bookseller to be in mint condition, but it's nice if they haven't been handled so roughly that they are torn, bent and scratched like the ones I received. I expected more from Amazon.
