Quote from user: arthurI don't expect the comics I buy from an online bookseller to be in mint condition, but it's nice if they haven't been handled so roughly that they are torn, bent and scratched like the ones I received. I expected more from Amazon.
Yes, you are quite right. Amazon should manage their shipping dept. much more carefully. The good thing about Amazon, though, is that at least their customer return policy is top-notch. Their books might not arrive in very good condition, but at least they're great about returns?and they pay return shipping, as well. In fact they were rated BEST in customer service in Business Week just for that reason.

Yes, their return policy is excellent. It's a shame of these comics though. I wonder what they'll do with them.

The only copy now available from Amazon is $100.
How high can it fly?

and the one on ebay is already sold...

That's unbelievable. A few weeks ago it was $12 at Amazon.
I hope that there will be a reprint soon.

There is a seller on amazon, a new copy for only 11 dollars...

Ship 'em to the next customer, what else? ;)

I don't want to rant, but I received some suspiciously used-looking books from Amazon Germany once in a while, too.

The price went up to $170.

I don't understand how there can be that big of differences in prices. If you look at the canadian amazon website. Two used, 1 for 59 CAD and the other for 208 CAD...

Well, it's a free market. Sellers can charge whatever they think the item is worth to collectors now that it's out of print and out of stock.

Looks like it's flying of the shelves everywhere; on both Amazon and Ebay. Even Gemstone had their last few at $25 just recently before they apparently sold out.

The LTo$ Companion is still in stock at Amazon and at a fairly good price for the used ones. Discount Books http://www.discountbooksale.com/ seems to have LTo$, and at a reasonable price, too; though I don't know if they ship to Europe or not.
Good luck. ;)

No, actually they're out of stock, too. They say 2 weeks but they don't have any copies in hand. They just assume they can get it from the publisher. Bwahahahahaha, little do they know...

Luckily I already got the companion. It arrived like 2 months ago :)

I ordered it on the german amazon website.

Evidently the Companion's print run was much higher than the first book.

Both prints of the LTo$ are sold out right?
