Could some of them even replace the (somewhat boring) regular ones currently installed? http://dcf.outducks.org/help.php#smilies

Since this is for the Disney Comics Forum, here you go: are you interested in any of these (for this forum only)?
(They are not really that original, but I did try to add some variety)

... or just add a link to the page; then you simply click on the smiley to display it on its own and copy its url.
(By the way, I know my smiley version of Magica is ugly, but I really could not do better.)

François, the last line of each message is left out, turning the small "G"s into small "Q"s.

Hmm-- no, I meant, when a member wants to use a smiley, there's no need to display the smiley's "Properties" to get its url: just click on it so you can easily copy it from the url bar of your browser, then paste here in within img tags.

Can you make one out of THIS? It's almost the best one for sadness I've ever seen (admittedly, Gottfredson's is better)! You could just change the non-photo blue to black, reduce the image size, crop it below Goofy's face, colour it in your paint programme..... et voilá: a new "sadness" emoticon!

Okay, I'll try. I won't do it the way you suggest, though; nothing wrong with that, but the point for me is to have fun drawing these by hand, pixel by pixel. We'll do this if I can't copy it. I will try as soon as possible.

I understood it the first time... but try and quote my post with all the smileys and you will see what I mean. The forum replaces all IMG with URL when quoting, and that makes a mess of all external smileys.

Oh, okay, sorry. In understand the point of you quotation now. Odd.

Here's my first shot at it, Rob.

There is still some work to be done on it, but at least now I know it may work in this size.

N'est pas mal!

I added this smile (:() and some others from your website, thanks.

HOORAY! My work (albeit (sort of) plagerised from Gottfredson) is now immortalised in a SMILEY! Now I can die a happy man!
:)

Second try...

I started from scratch, but it turned out too big, and the eyes are not quite as good.

So this is a drawing you copied from Gottfredson? I had not realized.

I used a pose of his as inspiration, but changed the angle of his head, and his expression a bit. I tried to make him even more distraught and hopeless.

I like the larger, second version better, as the tears add a nice effect. But if it is so large, it will no longer be an emoticon, but more like a signiture drawing.
