I have all 4 issues of Ludwig von Drake (Gold Key?), but I manhandle everything and three of them now look like the Dead Sea Scrolls. :(

I also have LTo$ and its companion book, as well as the following:

UNCLE SCROOGE Nos. 338, 342, 348 and 373

CARL BARKS' GREATEST DUCKTALES STORIES Vol. 2

And a Big Little Book, DONALD DUCK: "The Fabulous Diamond Fountain"
(found at an antique store years ago)

Hopefully I'll get more in the near future. :)

Lady Quackly I hope so too.

I'll be working on that, Roger. :) Though I wish now I still had all the old comics from my childhood. *sighs*

I do too. My aunt threw away a lot of my Dutch Weeklies from the 1950s. They cost a fortune to replace now (in good condition).

Aw geez, that is just sad. :( A good comic book is a terrible thing to waste.

Unfortunately, it is the story of many a comic book reader.

Why did you get rid of them Lady Quackly?

Yes, it is. The same with our childhood toys. And what's especially tragic is some of them would be worth hundreds of dollars today! :P

Because I'm stupid? :) :D But seriously, whatever happened to them is just a blur. Some of the best ones, like "Walt Disney Comics and Stories", I had when I was like 5 or 6 years old and up, and God knows what happened to them: whether they were given to charity, given to someone else or just plain sold. :) But then, when you're a little kid, you don't often project the future value of things.

It's the same with toys, like I was telling Robb_K. If all of us as kids had only known about the goldmines sitting in our closets...

Yeah I see what you mean Lady Quackly. Thankfully I have most of my comic books from my childhood.
Charlie Brown
I didn't count them.. about 250. Mostly German "Micky Maus" from 1977 on, "Donald Duck Sonderheft" and "Lustiges Taschenbuch", a few US "Uncle Scrooge" and "Comics and Stories" and some books with special topics like Christmas or Carl Barks.
Roger North
That's quite a collection you have there Charlie.
Asger And
Besides having almost the entire runs of Danish Disney-comics, scores of Swedish, Norwegian, German and Dutch and even a French Journal de Mickey from 1939, I've got the following US-mags: WDCS: 137, 152, 155, 156, 168, 170, 180, 184, 187, 238, 239, 241, 245-7, 253, 256, 261, 263, 345, 433, 443, 448, 450, 453, 454, 455, 456. U$: 12, 35, 143, 144, 145, 148, 149, 151, 152, 153, 155, 156, 159, 160, 183, Giant: 1. DD 26, 42, 46, 176, 186, 205, 254, 258, 262. MM: 63 and a very few others - Whitman, Gladstone and Gemstone. Well then I have Lo$ and Lo$C.
I have them in open cardboard-boxes for easy reading-access, I'd never find the time to put them in Mylars - I've got about 40.000 comics in all
Roger North
40, 000? That's more than I have Asger. You must have been collecting for a long time.
Charlie Brown
40.000 - That's really impressing! Did you read them all?
