So, the 2012! My wishes for this new year, Disney comic-wise:
1) More "Hall of Fame "-type editions in many countries.
2) Full-scale Brazilian production resumes (instead of only a handful of stories per year).
3) More countries start their own production of Disney comics, with new, local artists. Indonesia could try it, there is a great potential... Finland? Spain? Argentina? China? Japan? Whatever.
4) More stories per year from different authors and artists in countries where Disney comic production already exists.
I too would liken to see the Brazilian Stories come to The States since the Latino Population is in full-swing here...maybe many will like Ze Carioca.
Interesting. I get my Brazilian stuff directly from Brazil. Here in Russia the Latino population is virtually absent, but for me Ze is one of favorite characters (possibly the favorite? Ok, so he shares that place in my heart with US and DD). Most people in my country don't know him, though. Unlike Donald or Mickey Mouse.

The Brazilian people who speak Portuguese are probably not comparable with the Latino population in size in the US... This is unfortunate, because Brazil has to my eyes the most interesting Disney comics, and of course had their own production for a long time.

I agree. But I am biased because I do speak Portuguese and am a great fan of Brazilian culture and Brazil in general. Anyway, their stories always had that special quirky touch to them that I found very enjoyable. They also had some great artists in their rooster throughout the years.
