Hi! I am currently in Mexico and am looking for Argentinian comics (entire
collections of old issues of El Pato Donald).
Maybe some websites such as Argentinian auction sites have them? I tried
ebay in Argentina, but it seems they have very few Argentinian comics.

Hello!
Following a discussion on a French forum, I re-read Barks' "The Phantom of Notre Duck".
I remember the gag about the dragon (9.4), but not the text: "[...] Leonardo Da Vinci sure has you *framed*!" A fellow member of that forum posted a scan of the two panels (9.3-4): http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/4314/save019yb9.jpg
Searching for Da Vinci dragons, I have only found sketches.
I found it odd that Barks might have made a mistake, since he was so well documented, but it is not impossible that he misremebered the artist's name; I don't think he would have dropped "Da Vinci" without a reason when he could have made up a funny name (Leonarduck Da Vinci) if it were a pure invention.
I have searched the web for pictures of dragons, and have found many versions of Saint George's fight with the dragon, which all depicted him on his horse (except for Burne-Jones' version), but I have not found a single thing bearing a resemblance to Barks' drawing (knight, standing, ready to strike a serpent-like dragon, with a castle on the hill in the background).
Does anyone have any information on this?

I've just read a short, but really great story by Lars Jensen, D 2005-070.
In only six pages he manages to get around as different events as a comeback
of Azure Blue, a marriage between two persons I thought would never get
married, McDuck Enterprises turned into a trust fond, and H, D & L as
grown-ups.
And then the surprising ending, involving an old bathtub(!), turns the whole
thing upside down again.
Great stuff!

release a comprehensive hardcover archive of Carl Barks' Duck material.
Currently, foreign markets in Norway, Sweden, Germany and Denmark are
getting lovely hardcover reprints of all the Barks Duck material in
chronological order, and while those fans are just ducky right now, their
release in Europe is getting in the way of a domestic US release. Within a
couple years, however, that will change. Once the non-interference
arrangement with European licensees elapses, the decks will be clear for US
release, and that will likely be in 2008.
And just to repeat: we'd be getting chronological Barks Duck releases, in
color, in hardcover. If this news doesn't make you quack with joy, check out
the next news update:
Are you a Floyd Gottfredson mouse fanatic? Gemstone will have you covered,
too! They're in the planning stages of a similar initiative to cover Floyd
Gottfredson's seminal work on Mickey Mouse strips, which began back in 1930!
This is about all there is to say about this project right now, but as soon
as there is more info to pass on, I'll let you know!

I decided to launch a new English-only Disney Comics web forum. This is a
place to discuss anything related to both comics and Disney.

A silly question to Todd Klein: is your Disney lettering style the closest one to your natural handwriting, or is it just as different as the fancier ones? (being "simple" doesn't mean it's just your plain handwriting style-- or does it?)
How long does it take to letter a Rosa ten-pager or adventure?
And something I've wanted to ask you for a while: how is all this lettering done, anyway? How much is handmade, how much computer-assisted (designed by hand, then on computer, for easier duplication-- I suppose)?
