Funny enough I really like the Quackmore idea. For some reason I always associated Donald's unique voice pattern as a trait of his unique parents.

Rosa actually seems to make more than a few references to the cartoon Donald in LoS. Note how his mother Hortense is unintelligible in her first appearances--"glxblt!"
Yeah I always liked that. Especially when Hortense and Quackmore meet.

Does anyone know someone with a big, important voice for the part of Theodore Roosevelt? Of course, you could also go for an imitation of this. And then there are the other famous people.
And who would voice Li'L Bad Rockerduck?

Darryl Hammond doing the voice of Scrooge McDuck? Yes I can see that as a possibility.

What about the voice for Goldie? If it weren't for the fact that she passed away, I would have wanted Brittany Murphy, considering her voice work as Gloria in Happy Feet.

Four years ago---Hey, don't blame me for being so late in responding; I just now saw the post!---MustangRockStar said that Daisy did not have a "duck voice." Actually, she had a duck voice in her first appearance, in the 1937 cartoon Don Donald. She was then known as Donna. She had a bad temper and apparently did not own a dress. Donna became Daisy in Mr. Duck Steps Out (1940).

Scrooge appeared on the "big screen" only once, in the 1967 featurette Uncle Scrooge & Money. I would love to see a full-length animated movie of Uncle Scrooge and his battles with Magica and the Beagle Boys, or perhaps one of his quests to find riches. A computer-animated movie of Peanuts is scheduled for release in the United States on November 6, 2015, and Scrooge has been around for three more years than Charlie Brown and Linus and Lucy. Scrooge deserves a movie!

I think that a 3D cartoon adaptation of Duck comics is just about the most ugly thing they could do with it, visually speaking. The art style from the old cartoons and the comics wouldn't travel well at ALL. Just look at Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Sure, you'd hope they could do better than time these days, but I maintain that 3D Ducks can't not look weird. (I'd like to be proven wrong, actually.)

So far, the closest thing we've gotten apart from "Scrooge McDuck and Money" is the 2004 film Mickey, Donald and Goofy: The Three Musketeers. It comes closest to capturing the comics' spirit to me, despite still being very much descended from the cartoons. It's the only animated film to contain Barks-style Beagle Boys IIRC.
Well, the 1983 Mickey Mouse Christmas Carol comes pretty close as well I think. Closer at least than DuckTales did (or at least I like it better ;) ).
