Thanks. I had never noticed that feature before. I went to his profile yesterday and looked CAREFULLY for something like that, and would swear that it wasn't there then. This is another of those unexplainable events in life (or maybe senility settling in?).

Great drawing! Since spats are a status symbol for the ducks in Duckburg, it's very appropriate that Ludwig wears them, specially because he's a quite conceited character.
By the way, Ludwig is celebrating 50 years of existence in the Disney comics this year!
The ones who are smarter than the smarties could find out which painting he is looking at.

There is a story called "Uncle Theobald" (D 3299) where it's clearly suggested that Ludwig and Scrooge both are relatives of a duck called Theobald, who's uncle of Donald and Gladstone. As if it wasn't confused enough the kinship between Ludwing and the other Disney Ducks...

Indeed, it's not exactly how I draw, it's how I've had it in my mind for years, how I WANT to draw. But I don't think I'm ever going to draw like that. I've been doodling Ducks for 7 years now, and I'm still not that good. I'm not really a natural talent at drawing. :(
