Did Rosa actually draw Hortense having wet herself?

That's just her dress.

Ah, but how do you explain that yellow puddle behind her?

It's not. The dress is just the lower part.

Mr. M: Yes, this is it: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=425941047460809

Yeah, it's definitely a "golden"puddle.

And her dress looks soaked, too.

Wasn't this a published cover? I'm kind of surprised Rosa managed to sneak it past the editors. I would imagine the depiction of bodily fluids on the cover of a Disney comic book violates company policy.

Note that the peppers Don Rosa broth for his fans are the same peppers Panchito uses for... well... http://imageshack.us/a/img19/3706/peppersq.jpg ;)

That's an understatement!

Hortense is a drooler, so it might be a puddle of drool.

And golden as the morning sunrise? Nah.
Review Or Die
It is worth noting that to the best of my knowledge, he doesn't color anything published by Disney.
... but yeah whoever colored that liquid clearly colored it as urine. Which cracks me up.

It's true that the colorist may have made his own decision about what that puddle was meant to be. But you can't blame him, it's hard to interpret it as anything else. It'd be interesting if someone could ask Rosa about it. Does anyone know the history of that cover (when and where was it published)?

In case there was ever controversy about whether the Disney ducks produce body waste, this should effectively end it (if you consider Rosa canon). Sort of reminds me of the debate about whether there are bathrooms on the USS Enterprise because we never see them. You know they're there but it'd be nice to have proof, you know?
Dutch Duckfan Down Under
This is one of the posters Rosa made for the French Picsou magazine in the early 2000s.

Another possibility that everyone will dismiss is that given the rather ramshackle condition of the house as seen in the picture by the missing and cracked plaster on the rear wall, the puddle could be from a leak in the roof and it is in an unfortunate the location in relation to Hortense. The reason why it appears yellow in color could be the reflection of the walls which are also yellow. Besides, if it was urine, why is it only behind and to the right of her? Wouldn't it be around her and more toward the front?
This is just my humble opinion and am not trying to take the fun out of this mystery.
