Yup, *lots* of Monkey Island in Shiver Me Timbers, including the names of the pirates! I was pleased to see how Jonathan even got an Elaine Marley reference into an all-male story by naming one of the pirates Marlaine!

Me, too. I didn't mean to say in my earlier post that I think WDCS *should* be all Duck- and Mice-related minor characters, just that WDCS might be a home for stories featuring some of them (as it has been at times in the past). I'm personally more interested in them than in most of the other characters, but I do not think that WDCS should only have characters I'm interested in! With that said...I myself would also be more interested in Chip 'n' Dale and Madam Mim than in LBW, Bucky or Scamp.

I'm really always a fan of LBW (in moderation), I think there's a lot of good stories with him. Bucky I think I saw enough with the in-house comics, considering I'm sort of neutral toward him, and Scamp never particularly excites me.

But I would love to see some other characters-- in small amounts. I still like my WDC&S predominantly Duck and Mouse, but with a dash of shorter stories with other characters. To me, making sure to include some of the minor comic stars but making sure they do play second fiddle to the heavy hitters is the ideal balance.

What is LBW?

Yes, but which wolf is Little Bad Wolf? Or is it all three? Here is Disney's 1936 Silly Symphony cartoon Three Little Wolves. Disney obviously was hoping to duplicate the success of Three Little Pigs. Big Bad Wolf has three sons here. And somehow all four of the wolves know how to speak German!

Yes! I wonder how Disney reconciled the loss of 2 of The Big Bad Wolf's sons. Were they victims of The Three Little Pigs'retaliation?

We should organize a search party to go out and look for those two Little Bad Wolves. Maybe they can also locate Mickey's nephew Ferdy, Goofy's nephew Gilbert and Goofy's girlfriend Honey-Bee.

And three of Popeye's nephews while they're at it!

I'm also wondered what happened to the other two little bad wolves if the other one who stayed with Big Bad Wolf was really Li'l Bad Wolf. Maybe Li'l Bad Wolf was originally a bad wolf like his brothers and his father but later he turned good and decided to become a friend with the Three Little Pigs and eating vegetables and fruits instead of eating meat.
The artist who drawn this page thought that one of the three little bad wolves and Li'l Bad Wolf were the same characters:

Note: The actual name of Goofy's girlfriend is Glory-Bee not "Honey-Bee".

Thank you for the correction. Now I have to go change the name on all the "Have you seen me?" posters that I put up.
In several 1950s cartoons, Goofy (also known as George Geef) had a wife and son. The wife's face was never shown but she had blonde hair and human hands with five fingers. Glory-Bee had flesh-colored skin but wore four-fingered gloves and had a "dog nose." So who did Goofy marry.....and what happened to Glory-Bee? And why was his wife a human and not a dog-type character? I don't think her name was ever revealed.

It's unknown if this Mrs. Geef/Mrs. Goof is the same character as Glory-Bee. I'm not sure if she was really a human character but I think she was a dog nose character with five fingers. If that Mrs. Goof is a human then why Goofy married with a female human instead of a female character who is the same species as him? I don't know what happened to Glory-Bee but some fans said that she died during the Goof Troop series but it's unknown if Max's mother was Glory-Bee.

I think Mrs Goof died before the Goof Troop series not during.

Maybe she died before the Goof Troop series but I'm not sure. The "Goofy's wife's death" is only just a theory and not an official source about her fate in Goof Troop.

You're right. She may have divorced him for all we know. Nothing is official about what happened.

This is why I perfer the nephew approach that Disney does with Donald and Mickey.
