Hello!
This E-mail is mostly to you living in the German speaking area of the
world.
I need a panel with the German translation from the WDC 111 about love
letters. In the panel Donald nock on Gladstone Gander´s door
and Gladstone says something like: "Who the hell are you?". (I don´t
have this comics in English, so he might not say exactly these words.)
The German translation should be something like "Um Gottes Willen wer
sind Sie?"
Anyway, can anyone scan this panel, please. I need it for my composition
at the university. According to an index, it has been
published in "Mickey Maus" number 17 1985, "Barks Library" 16 and in
"Die tollsten Geschichten von Donald Duck" number 130.

It is always edifying to study a new language, but I don't think its
necessary to dive into any crash courses just yet. What Bruce may not have
made precisely clear is that our priority is the big picture, that Disney
comics continue in the US while suffering at worst a brief hiatus. That is
what current negotiations are focused on, and it doesn't appear that anyone
involved in them sees the final disappearance of US Disney comics as a
desirable option.

I haven't been following the mailing list for a long time. I've been
too busy with school! Now it's Christmas vacation and I have the whole
month of January off, so I hope to get caught up!

Second, I don't believe this is the same Don Rosa we all know and love,

Actually, yes!
Don is on holiday (or so), but this is what he wrote here in August, 1995:

*before* i knew Don wrote it.)
It seemd Disney wanted him to do DuckTales, but he (wisely in my
opinion) turned it down...
DuckTales is Horrible.. I don't even think the elusive Dutch author mr
"Ron Dosa" would like to be
associated with this series... ;-)

Must say that I am disappointed in the color job on "Wendigo." While it is
nice to see this in print (finally), the story lacks the subtle coloring
touch of the masterful Susan-Daigle-Leach. Don's "needless and irritating
details" are often submerged in this particular rendition....oh well, at
least it has seen the light of day in the Disney comic-less United States.
BTW: I am also looking for a correspondent in Great Britain to hunt down
some issues of MICKEY AND FRIENDS from 1993....Willing to trade, purchase
or?

Well.. no.. DuckTales and Rescuq Rangers *are* horrible in my opinion.
GmmiBears, Tailspin and Goof Troop are much better, or.. at least they
were
in the beginning... But I suspect that tailspin lost quite a lot in
recent years..
But DuckTales? No... it's like Scooby Doo on Steroids...
The DuckTales comics, though, are much better than the animation!

Well.. no.. DuckTales and Rescuq Rangers *are* horrible in my opinion.
