Yes, and I guess my site didn't clearly reveal that these are the same
stories. I am no expert on Italian (despite my ethnic heritage), and
I don't recall whether I used the translation "A New Way of Life" as
my own interpretation, or by recommendation of someone who know Italian,
but anyhow, I'm guessing that "The Health Nut" is the preferred
translation since the comic has never actually appeared in an English
translation comic (that I know of). Therefore, I have adjusted the
webpage to reflect the preferred translation as well. This should
alleviate any future misunderstandings.

Oy! This discussion sure brings back memories of that long-term discussion
of this very same topic about a year or so ago. When I found that irregular
comic "Mountain Magic" which was pubished in America for a gas station! :-)

It also reminds me of how much work is still to be done with the HooZoo!

Yup, that's what I meant. On the HooZoo page this story is mentioned as the
first: "Topolino" #453 (Aug. 2, 1964) in "Paperino e il fanatico igienista"
("Donald Duck in A New Way of Life" [a.k.a. "The Health Nut"]). I guess this
is not the same as S64008, which is attributed as the first in the INDUCKS
pages. So I guess that S64008 was produced first but published after (in
1965).

Yes, this is the second Ebay auction the seller has submitted that
painting to. The first auction died last week at just over $17,000!!

You're talking about the same story as if it's two different ones!
In fact

S 64008 = "The Health Nut" = ("A New Way Of Life") = 1st Fethry
story.
Produced in English in 1964 by the Disney Studio.
Published for the first time (to the best of our knowledge in
TOPOLINO 453 (Italy, 2 August 1964).

Rich, you should know that "The Health Nut" is the story's
*original* title, not a translation. All S-coded stories were originally in
English, even if some were never published that way. The (non-authentic)
title you have on your Hoozoo page, "A New Way Of Life", is a title we
indexers used before we knew what the original title really was. It came up
because the story begins with Donald getting a telegram that says...
"Stopping over for a few days - stop - will show you new way of life
- stop - your way of life must stop - cousin - Fethry Duck"

This scene is taken from "The Gilded Man"-story (1952). "Stamp Collector'=

In the seventies Barks did a collection of approximately 20 paintings wha=

Well, as I said, I *forgot* where the title "A New Way of Life" came
from, so I didn't want to rule it out completely, but thanks for
refreshing my memory of it's gensis. I have therefore adjusted Fethry's
file for the HOOZOO to reflect this. Thanks again. :-) You're help
is and always has been appreciated :-)

Today, the Dutch album "De beste verhalen van Donald Duck" number 100 is in
the shops. Half of the albums have a "mouse mat" (exp?) as an extra, the
other half has a little booklet containing "Pluto redt een schip" (Pluto
Saves the Ship).

In the booklet, the editor writes "the story was reprinted only in Italy in
1949, and in an American deluxe edition in 1988." Our Inducks database says:

so the Dutch editors only missed the reprint in Italian Zio Paperone #33.
(If not for that comic, this would have been a European premiere: a rare
Barks story for the first time in its entirety!)

The "Beste Verhalen" album itself contains two long Barks Uncle Scrooge
stories (US 55, with new lettering and colouring, and US 9), and a 1-page
article with a photograph of Jippes and Barks. They say Jippes did all
covers for this album series, except three of them. (Three? I only know of 2
non-Jippes covers! Help! 8-)

The album says that there's also a hard-cover deluxe edition (which I
haven't seen yet), limited to 1000 copies, all signed by Daan Jippes.

several weeks ago: Anybody who would like a copy of
the album + Pluto saves the ship, please let me know.
I would like to swap it for some other comic, or if
