In the USA there is the inaccurate idea perpetuate endlessly by the media
that the Democratics represent poor and middle class Americans. Your
analogy pretty much is how it is, both candidates are rich. Neither are
poor. Our Congressional Representatives make something in excess of
$160,000.00 a year regardless of which party they belong to, and voted
themselves automatic pay raises. Prior to this election they basically
shook hands across the aisle and agreed that neither side would stand up and
say self righteously that they would not accept the raise this year and they
quietly did just that. No wonder I vote alternative party candidates
whenever they are available unless one of the "mainstream" candidates stands
for truth, justice and the American way so to speak instead of lining their
own pockets.
Part of the problem is the news media announced called the electation
stating it as fact not a guess at 7:50 eastern standard time, prior to even
east coast closing the polls. Is there such as thing as media bias in our
country? Beyond that there is such a rush for ratings there is definitely
irresponsibility and carelessness.
There is also a reason I do not want ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN. I do watch CSpan.
I like my news as objective as possible not laced with personal opinions.
But more than that I love Ducks.

this auction deserves mention on the list. It's really
BIG, and must be the biggest Disney comics auction ever
held on Nordic territorium. Its main focus is perhaps
that of rare, old, excellently kept Swedish stuff,
old #1/1948 and earlier Disney albums, etc., etc..
At the same time they offer a rather astonishing amount
of American material 1935-1970(?). They have nearly
every issue of Walt Disney's Comics & Stories #1-300,
Uncle Scrooge #1-70, old Donald Duck, old Mickey Mouse,
old Mickey Mouse Magazine pre WD C&S, Parades, etc., etc.
Not since the times of "Barks Friends" of Oslo 1979-1991 (?)
have such a wonderful amount of original Barks et al.
comics been up for sale in Scandinavia.

I just discovered (and subscribed to) the DCML mailing list. It's really nice to see so many Disney comics fans from all over the world.
As it turns out, I have a few questions...
- First of all, I'd like to know if anybody out there would be interested in trading Disney comics. I'm from France and particularly interested in Italian disney comics (mainly Topolino). (I tried to subscribe to Topolino once but it didn't seem to work... Never got a single issue).
Of course, comics from other countries are also welcome...

comics is translated into Spanish, and where/how can it be bought? It does not
seem to be known here at all. Even specialized comics shops don't have
