If I should introduce myself, I'd say I'm a long, long time Disney-addict. I guess, I was aware about MM and DD since 1958, having Anders And & Co from that time, myself, and since them buing the earlier numbers (the ones from 1949 and up)

Been buying the unpublished US-Barks stories, since late sixties (many of them HAS been released later in Denmark, though !)
But I also like artists like Gottfredson, Murry et al - and lately, the naïve (but painstaking) drawings by Don Rosa...

Due to childbirth I was out of collector-circles for about ten/fifteen years - but have been caught again by what you could call "progressiv advertisment" from Egmont (Carl Barks Samlede Værker)

As I have been writing elsewhere on this site, I've been collecting Standard 8, Super 8, 16 mm, 32 mm-Disney movies since the time when man was hitting each other with clubs, Disneyana even before that time...

My name is Asger Pedersen, I've collected comics since 1965 and Disney since 1975, had a break between 1991 and 2005, when my children grew up.
I'n no wall-artist but I did the back-covers of two #s of 'Rappet. Well it was some old drawings of mine.

I guess when you say you're going to Sjælland, you mean Kopenhagen, and my scedule is rather tight, so I don't think we'll run into each other, but I hope you'll enjoy your stay on the 'Devil Island' (as we Jutes are calling Sjælland. Well I'm a Jute by birth anyhow).
I'll be mostly in Allerød, and Holte, but Kalundborg is a bit far away for casual contact. I, too will be very busy, having several Disney stories to finish, and also working on a new comic strip for an Australian magazine.

I was sorry to have missed last year's meeting at your house. But this is the first year in the last 12 or so, that I've been in Danmark near the end of July. Usually, I'm there during the last half of June and just the beginning of July, as I must work in a studio in Muenchen most of July through much of September.

I saw Sigvald and Harry there. But I also see both of them also when they're at home. But, I would have loved to meet Gille Maurice (as we've not met in person yet), and I seldom go to France these days.

I guess I have a common interest with you, in Duck geneology. I made a Duck family tree in the late 1960s, which I included (along with maps of Duckburg, Duck County and Calisota) in my home-made Carl Barks Library (you can see volumes of it in the photo of me in The Dansk "Carl Barks Collection").

Maybe we can meet next year.

Interesting that Barks and Walt Kelly are both favourites of yours, as both worked at Disney Studios in the late '30s and early '40s, and Walt Kelly was the main Walt Disney's Comics and Stories cover artist during Barks' heyday with that magazine. I really like Kelly's Duck covers.

Hey McDuck Enterprises you have started collecting Disney Comics in the same year that I have. Do you have a relative named Maxine?

No Maxine in the family, Roger....Yeah, while I was aware of the genre, being practically raised in a Leave it to Beaver atmosphere with the Disney Channel the only thing not locked out on the TV, 1987 is most likely when I started getting into Disney comics...mostly due to The Disney Afternoon on TV and such...Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop and the like.....I only really followed Scrooge though. :)

Oh yeah, forgot Tale Spin... I even have 2 volumes of it on DVD now...one of my favorites....loved planes as a kid! Great stuff.

That's great, I didn't know that! Maybe I should try to look him up! There is a small used bookstore in the capital that sells comics. One of their biggest titles is Donald Duck & Friends in English.

I'll have to look up Kelly's Disney work. He's by far my favorite artist, but I really don't know much about him!
