Thanks for the list Milano. Now I know what stories haven't been released yet. William Van Horn is the only one of my favorite artists from the Pre Gemstone Era that is still active.

William Van Horn celebrates his 71th birthday today!
I wish you everything of the very best on your special day, Bill.

Bill has finished his Donald story "Coff It Up" D2008-349, 10 pages. The artwork is in Copenhagen now, awaiting further processing.

William Van Horn is 71 years old? Where does the time go? When do you think it's going to be released?
Milano
I think "Coff It Up" will be released next year. Three recent stories of Bill are not released in Europe yet:

1. The Heat Of The Moment (D2008-122 - 9 pages)
2. Nose Job (D2008-307 - 9 pages)
3. From Dawn ´til Dusk (D2009-123 - 10 pages - written by myself)

The Stick-Up (D2008-308 - 8 pages - first comic with Rumpus McFowl in the leading role) was published two weeks ago in Scandinavia.

You know, I find the splash panel of Barks' Old Froggie Catapult very much like a Van Horn.
Roger North
I have Old Froggie Catapult in Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse #4 Barks did the story but Van Horn did the cover.

Bill??s comic "The Heat Of The Moment" (D2008-122, 9 pages) is being prepared for publication in Europe now.

During the last months, Bill Van Horn worked on three new Disney stories:
As The Snail Trails
Woe Is He (Uncle Scrooge - 8 pages)
The Life Of The Party
The first two comics are already finished. He still has to draw the last one.
Bill plans to continue to do maybe three or four stories a year.

Do you know how long the comics "As The Snail Trails" and "The Life Of The Party" are? As great as the 10-pagers and the shorter gag stories by William Van Horn are, it would be great if he returned to the adventure genre for at least one more time. Does he plan to make any longer comic with the Ducks? (I know, I know: I ask you this question about once a year. :) )

Bill sent us 51 color copies of his private paintings for our section ??The other side.

We will present these pictures in several installments. For starters we show you the paintings from 2008.

Besides, we added two older pictures:

Flower Child (2005)
A Private Universe (2007)

To be continued ?¦
