Two months ago, we showcased 81 of William Van Horn?s private paintings in our new section ?The other side.
Bill was very pleased and impressed with the presentation of the images and the accompanying article. He got busy at once and sent us color copies of 50 more private paintings. His selection includes some large-sized pieces now. Bill scanned these in two pieces and meticulously glued the copies together.
We have integrated the new paintings into our gallery now, hoping you?ll like them as much as we do.

That's good information Milano but why did you put up the same post three times?

As much as I loves me some W. Van Horn, am I the only one afraid of what seems like him kind of being in a "winding down" period in reference to his stories? I'd hate to see that happen. Maybe its because we don't see them with regularity in every WDC&S like we used to and I kind of miss that.
That and he hasn't done a longer story in what seems like forever...

From what I've seen in the Danish and Dutch books, there seems to be a large group of Van Horn stories in the pipeline, that I don't remember seeing in Gladstone books. But then, I haven't seen any Gladstone books for the past 4 months.

The last longer Van Horn story was written by Gary Leach in 1999 (The Utter Limits - 16 pages). Bill prefers to do short stories with ten pages. But only one of his last five tales has 10 pages.
During the last three years only two stories of Van Horn were reprinted in WDC:
WDC 673 (October 2006) - Kid Stuff - 12 pages
WDC 679 (April 2007) - Blow Me Down - 2 pages
It seems Gemstone is very close on the fence to publish a special Van Horn edition and saves this stories.

Gemstone has announced Walt Disney Treasures no.4 (Donald Duck: 75 Unlucky Years) for July 8, 2009.
In addition to many more stories, the altogether 168 pages will also include a reprint of Bills story "Room And Bored" (D97152 ? 10 pages).

William Van Horn really deserves a lot more fanfare than what he gets. He's damn humble about his amount of work and the effort that he puts into it no matter how small the story that's what I like about the guy. :)

Unexpectedly Gemstone has brought forward the planned comic-book contents by two months.
So we can read Bill?s comic "Lost And Clowned" (D2007-074, 10 pages) already in WDC 694.
Additionally, the book includes Noel Van Horn?s Mickey Mouse story "Fame" (D2006-041, 10 pages).
William Van Horn has drawn a new cover for WDC 700.
This is the first Van Horn cover starring Zeke Wolf.

I'm a great Van Horn Fan - he's my favourite Disney Comics artists.
I've got a Website about him too (in german...)
At now, I've got 507 pages from hin (the most in german, but 3 or 4 in american english!)
I ''just'' must look for 975 pages yet.
