I think Burger was partly inspired by that drawing from Only a Poor Man but the Beagle Boys never had names outside the Duck Tales Episodes.

BTW -> The Beagle Boys had names in "Sport Goofy in Socermania" cartoon and one was named in "Mickey, Donald and Goofy : The Three Musketeers" movie.

Well to be honest the one in "Mickey, Donald and Goofy : The Three Musketeers" was just named "Shorty" by other Beagles (since he was - well, way shorter) so it's not much as a name as a nickname. In Polish dubb of the movie his named "Zenek" which is an actuall Polish name.

However as "Sport Goofy in Socermania" goes they where refrence by diffrent name by the sport announcer during their game with Scrooges team such as : "Max the Kid Maxwell"or "Shotgun".

I honestly can't regard these names as canon, or anything close to it. My guess is that Chick Hearn (the announcer) just made up the names on the spur of the moment.

I had several reasons for merging Bubba and Fenton, though not necessarily good reasons. One reason was that originally I didn't have much to say about either of them. However, as I was writing Fenton, a suddenly had a lot more to say. But another reason was I was trying to create artificial ways for me to write less; the thing is ridiculously long as it is. I did actually think about splitting the section, but then I felt guilty for not writing more about Bubba and then needing to split Mrs. Beakley and Webby. I was already late on finishing this (I wanted to finish this weeks ago, not on the actual *day*), so I had an excuse to not split it. Maybe I'll have to revisit this some day. (Maybe the 50th? :P)

Probably just a coincidence. By about 1959 or 1960, funny animal comic books were no longer part of mainstream America. Comic books were losing out to many other types of entertainment, and Superhero comics with their Marvel/DC '60s success, were already not mainstream by the mid or late '70s. The impetus to base a show on Barks' characters was probably the same impetus that led Bruce Hamilton to go after the US Disney Comics traditional characters franchise. The kids that had grown up reading Carl Barks during the Golden Age of Comic Books, were now grown up, and some were artists, writers and publishers, who wanted to show homage to Barks for his great, inspirational work.

I see. Fenton is my favorite on that show, so I still think he should have gotten his own paragraph, especially since you did have more to say about him than about Bubba, or about Mrs Beakly and Webby, but I understand now. And if you want to revisit the article, why wait until the 50th anniversary in 2037), which is another twentyfive years away? What about the 30th anniversary in 2017, which only is five years away?
