...but I don=B4t think it is.

Many thanks to all of you who answered my request on the Whiz comic.

I called my friend and told him about the 70ies reprint of the book. He =
sighed and said that he didn=B4t knew about that one. He hasn=B4t got the =
comic at his home so he hasn=B4t checked yet. Still, I wouldn=B4t bet all =
my savings on the square saying =22Genuine=22.

So everyone (including myself=21) that has thought =22Why does this always =
happen to the other guys=22 can relax. It (probably) *didn=B4t* happen to =
this other guy.

On the Lo=24 book I can say that the Danish edition is very nice indeed. =
Though the price cannot compete with the Italian edition I still think =
that it is well worth the DKK 245,- (=2435) its priced.

It reprints the 12 main chapters (not chapter 0 and 6=BD) and also Don=B4s =
text (Danish translation) from the Gladstone edition is printed. I =
haven=B4t read the whole book yet but it seems that there are some =
additional information in Dons text.

All 12 covers are printed =22clean=22 (no logo or title) and as a bonus a =
couple of extra covers are included. These are similar to the ones I know =
from the U=24 magazine. Similar in the same way as Barks=B4 two versions =
of the bubble bath cover (WDCS 96). Some may have seen these alternative =
versions before (?) but they were sure new to me.

DON ROSA

In the book there are also small reproductions of some of your sketches. =
What are the chances that other persons than you and Byron Ericson will =
ever get to see all of these? I think I speak for a lot of people when I =
say that it is of course interesting to see what your original idea was =
with the individual chapters.

Also, though it may be common knowledge to most guys on this list I am a =
bit uncertain what actually happens to your original pages after you hand =
them over to Egmont. Do you still get them back or does Egmont store all =
pages in their basement? (Please, *don=B4t* tell me that they destroy =
them=21).

These covers were drawn for the German editor. Don drew the USA and
German versions almost at the same time. Gladstone couldn't use the
German covers and vice versa, because their comics were published
at almost the same time.

I just got albums #4 and #5 directly from Gladstone, but I sort of
booked them 2 years ago, when I subscribed to the series.
Back in July this year, they sent me a very kind letter stating that
they had found a few copies of the issues I missed, and would I want
them ?
Of course I did, and, although I don?t know whether they still have any,
I reckon you ought to try with them first. I believe you could E-mail

which is the US One Pagers #1.
I also have some 20 double issues (brand new and complete with cards)
that I would gladly exchange for other Disney Comics (especially the

Just a quick note to let you know that the new "Onkel Dagobert von Don Rosa
#15" Album was released this month!
The cover is the same as it was for the initial Gladstone release

the Album contains the stories:
-Seine Majestaet Dagobert I.
(AR 145: His Majesty Mc Duck)
This version was already published in the weekly magazine under the title
"Kampf um Duckland" and had a diffrent translation.
The new version has now accurate translations of the Rosa Text and
includes no nonsense names for historic people and countries.
However..the coloring mistakes in various panels were not corrected.

(in this story the lines are quite thick and it looks as if they didn t

the beginning of each chapter and various other (little) goodies, like
script pages make the book really woth "reading". (even if one already
knows the Episodes!)

Dear fellow Duckists: I am going through my Barks comics collection and am
making a little pile of quite interesting "extras and doubles", original comics
from the 1940ies and 1950ies that I do not need any more. I offer these for
sale. Send a separate email to me privately and I will send you the list I have
prepared of these original comics, strictly graded. My good-willed intention
is to sell for
*approximately 90% of Overstreet Guide prices*.
The list includes WDs 31 1943 (first Barks, autographed by him), 64, 65, 77,
84, 85, 96, 97, 98, about 15 in the #101-200 range, about 15 in the #201-300
range, FC 238 Voodoo Hoodoo 1949, and about 10 DDs in the range #45-100.

I apologise for inconveniencing some of you with this announcement, and
promise to not making it a habit!

Chapter 0, or "Of Ducks, Dimes and Destinies" is one of those chapters Don
added to his Life Of $scrooge series after the original episodes were
completed. It's story code is D91249 I have it in Norwegian somewhere,
but can't seem to find it...

There are. I've managed to obtain volume 1 in America, volume 2 in Germany
and volume 3 here in Norway. When I was in America for my summer holidays
(two or three years ago), I also spotted what I think was volume 9 in a
comic store in Madison, but I couldn't afford it. I also spotted a copy in
the comic store "Forbidden Planet" in New York (volume 3 I think).
