Greetings. It's been a while since I posted anything here
(namely 'cause there ain't a whole lot happening in the
U.S. with regards to Disney comics). I wonder if that has
anything to do with the concurrent dwindling number of
postings on each new issue of this Mailing List?
Anyhow, probably the most significant new event in the U.S.
that I can think of just happened in the San Jose Mercury
News (my hometown newspaper) which premiered Pete's sister
Petula. It isn't that big of a deal, since relations
come and go so readily in older Disney Comics (especially
during the Gold Key years), but this being his actual
"sister" may be of some significance (it far easier to
dismiss an uncle or aunt in comics, less so when it comes
to an immediate sibling).
Anyhow, I noticed the obvious familial characteristics, but
wonder, since it's only black & white, hwether she might
be an attempt to introduce Trudy to the American market?
Probably not, but there is that resemblance.
Anyhow, I just found her introduction interesting.... I
guess that's pretty sad, eh? ;-)
Anyone interested in the comic, if you can't get it on the
