No, You misunderstood me! I have that sequel.. (do you?)
The one I was looking for was the above-mentioned (does anyone here have a
copy
of that story, cause I seem not to beable to reach the seller in Copenhag.)

the original, but

Hello All !

New to the list, I think that the first message I could send is a short
presentation of me.

Begin with a dedidace.
One month ago, I was like a rambling soul in the street of Paris looking for
some Mickey Parade printed in the 60's,
any Mickey Parade, but a Mickey Parade. The world was cold and silly - It
was a lonely quest.
One month ago, I decide to type "mickey parade" in a search network rather
than the short "mickey".
Suddenly the world have changed - all the doors were opened. The light was
able to come in.
I've found the Disney Comic database!

Now, I know the authors that have given me those intense moments of
happiness - The kind of happiness that burns
first in prime time and let heat your soul until your dead.
My universe is hung with new stars in the constellation of Cartoonists -
these stars light my way henceforth.

What about me?
I'm French living in the very desolated land for Disney Comics - until some
years it seems to change.
Now I know that I was a Cavazzano fan until his Bel Tratto Sottile (1973)
period (Frank Stajano index).
I can't forget the "eagle professor" in "Zio Paperone il muschio del Moloch"
(I TL 867-B) or the canoe
with legs in "Zio Paperone e le montagne trasparenti" I TL 831-B.
I am not a real collector of issues. When I'm interressed in a storie I
buy - else I don't; except the Mickey Parade
I dreamt of when I was younger (I'm 34).

My projects.
There's many holes in Disney Comics Database French section. I will fill
some.
Build shelves! I like too many stories!

The Dutch pocket book containing this story is #55. I especially bought the
pocket book because of this story, and I agree that it's very good! I also
saw the German version last week. The Germans won't have a problem finding
it, though: in their book, Erickson *is* credited.

Don't expect too much. The tomato story is not a sequel: it's just a D-coded
story that uses the same (Barks) plot again. I guess the writer was too lazy
to come up with something new.

A few days ago I mentioned how ecstatic I was to find myself only a few
international reply coupons away from reading Scarpa's "The Emperor of
Calisota", by ordering Mickey Parade 221 as a back issue.

To my surprise, my order was returned today, along with a letter saying
that they only accept various kinds of checks. Not only did they not
mention the amount one should send when ordering from abroad, but this
contradicts their order form as well, which mentions that the only way
to order from abroad is to send seven international reply coupons per
issue! I would have expected such inconsistency in Greece as a matter
of course :-(, but not in another European country. Too bad my French
is too limited to write them an angry letter expressing my feelings. :-)

Anyway, is there someone in France who might be willing to order Mickey
Parade 221 and mail it to me in exchange for a couple of issues (regular or
back issues) of Komix? If so, please contact me privately.

Once you factor in the discount off of cover price to Diamond to distribute
our books, that $1 million shrinks by more than half. After the Diamond
discount, prepress and print bills gulp down around three-quarters of that.
Then Disney's royalty rate, based on *cover* price of units sold, eats up
the lion's share of what remains.

Hello Everyone,

I have been in contact with a dealer of Australian Disney Comics and I
suggested to him that people on this mailing list may want to acquire
some...so if anyone is interested in these comics, let me know.
These comics will have Barks and Paul Murry stories published a year or two
after they were originally published in the US...plus many others.
