I believe talent is a gift to be shared with those who appreciate it. To
me, it seems like there is a universal source out there and occasionally
one taps into it and comes out with a wonderful idea they can express via
their talent. Some like Don Rosa seem to be connected all of the time!
Ideas and talent that I have never felt like "mine" rather something I have
been able to utilities. The minute I think something is due to me, the
ideas quit coming, regardless of what I am working on.
Sadly I think many people do not ever discover or use the talent(s) they
have access to and those people probably never discover the happiness it
can bring.

Hi
I was lucky in the last days of 1999, I finally find the only extra I
missed for my weekly collection, so
it's now complete back to 1978.
The 30th I found a comic with Mickey in Slovenian. There's some
one-pagers and the Barks-story
foxy relations in that issue. Rearranged to be 13 pages with 3-tiers (2
panels are gone). I love to have
foreign issues so i was happy to find that.
Later we visitted some friends, and the mother had found an article in
a local news-paper, about the
Quest for Kalevala! A very positve article from a press-agency
(Ritzau).
I'm going to translate it and put it online, but I'll tell you this: It
says there are plans to publish a book
with the story in Denmark too... This of course sounds good, but I'm
not sure I believe it!
Hoping all technical installations are functioning at your house too,

This is the name of a Boulevard in Duckburg. It's very nice of the
persons who wrote, drew or translated the story coded D 98341 to credit
the old Duck master for what he has done for Duckburg, so of course
there's a road in the city named after him. The story is btw. about
Goofy, who is a very confused cab-driver!
I wonder if the other publications of the story also say Oak steet (or
whatever road Donald lives on), Barks Boulevard, Goosestreet. The story
should be out in Norway and Sweden too if the issues are still

With the 70th anniversary of the MM Daily strip coming up in less than
two weeks, is any publisher doing anything to commemorate this? I think
we would've heard if anything is being done in the US, but maybe I just
haven't heard about it yet.

I would like to know: Did a comic with the adaption of the
movie tarzan come out in your country? Our weekly has
had a tradition of publishing the movie-adaptions, but I guess
they stopped, as they do with many nice traditions, or maybe
thew adaption was too bad? In Greece saw adaptions of
Bug's Life and Simbas pride. maybe Tarzan has been published
in Megalo Miky?
I guess you other scandinavians haven't seen it either?

Dark Horse put out a 2 issue series.

Don't know about that, but for those who are interested in reading the MM Daily, you can get it over the internet by going to www.mercurycenter.com and signing up for a personal comics page. The MM Daily is available. This week, it actually appears that a mystery might be starting, rather than just a daily gag! It may be too much to hope for.

Don't know about that, but for those who are interested in reading the MM Daily, you can get it over the internet by going to www.mercurycenter.com and signing up for a personal comics page. The MM Daily is available. This week, it actually appears that a mystery might be starting, rather than just a daily gag! It may be too much to hope for.

I suppose the Danish publisher decided that with all the half
dozen other versions of the story targeted at various age groups
it was kind of stupid to give away the only regular comic version
with the weekly. Not that I've seen the various merchandize for
this movie, but it's as much a tradition as the christmas supple-
ment issue. Which wasn't saved away btw, but had a coverless
reprint of the 50es edition of the Barks one-shot "You Can't Guess".
The Tarzan story looks good, I can tell from the Dutch serialized
edition.

appeared in the January 2000 issue of "Megalo Mickey" and can be picked from
the news-stands as we speak. In addition to the "Tarzan" adaptation, this
extra-thick issue (thickest so far, they claim!) also features Almanacco
Topolino re-prints by Carpi and Scarpa ("Il drago Kandelor", AT #181, 1972).
