Hi,

is there anyone out there who happens to have an extra copy of "Super
Picsou G?ant" #120? I realize that this magazine holds my first story in
French, and I have been trying to get a hold of as many different versions
of that story as possible, so I would really appreciate the help.

I guess it would have been very difficult making the same amount as a
globetrotter like Scrooge without leaving the country. Also, correct me if
I'm wrong anybody, but didn't they in the original Barks story turn out to
have the same amount of mines of every kind? Meaning, unless South Africa
has the possibility of mining for everything, and in the same amount as
all the mines Scrooge found or bought on his way to becoming the richest,
Glomgold _must_ have left the country at a point.

Hi !

In Sweden there is a biscuit manufacturer, G?teborgs kex, that includes a mini Disney comic in each package. There are in all 15 different comics. I have talked to G?teborgs kex and they claim that all the comics should be available and by random distributed in the packages. Now I have bought 11 packages over a period of about six months and this is the outcome. I have gotten #2 4 of this, #3 1 of this, #4 2 of this and #7 4 of this.
I'm no statistics expert but isn't the probabability very small for my outcome ?

Do you who also have bought these experience the same thing ?

Is anyone here willing to trade or sell the missing numbers with me ?

Hm ... But wouldn't such a rescue be something arranged by the government
and not by the villagers of Dawson? Or did I misunderstand everything?
When Don talked about heroes, I thought he meant... People like Steele!

Ah, finally understood what you meant with "sow many incoming". :-) Hm ...
For some reason, I doubt any of them would leave the other one in charge.
Can't really see any of them beeing too happy with an equal partnership,
either.

Ah, this is a good place to mention the real reason I, as a creator of
personal opinions, hope Don won't use Flintheart in this story. In
"Second-richest Duck", Scrooge seems to never have met Glomgold before.
OK, I've read the comments to Life of Scrooge #6 - and yes, it's possible
that if they met once and Glomgold never introduced himself, Scrooge
wouldn't recognize him. But if they met over and over and over and over?
I'm sorry, but that would practically make Glomgold a life-long nemesis of
Scrooge. Which he's not. As far as Scrooge is concerned, the string
encounter on the ship to Africa in the sixties was their first meeting.
Scrooge has no memories whatsoever of meeting Glomgold before that - so,
if they have met more than once, I ... sorry, I think that's enough. I
don't think that Glomgold has anything to do in "Scrooge's past"-stories -
I can sigh and accept that he's been used once, but even more than that?
Please don't.

Actually, when I wrote the story I hadn't seen the movie. I even thought
it was a documentary. But yes, that is what inspired the title ("Being
Donald Duck"). Later, people have been saying that the plot reminds them
of "Being John Malkovich" - others have said it reminds them of
"Face/Off"...

That was in the Polish edition?!
That was something added by your local translator. Which is okay... but what
important dialogue may have been omitted by that inserted bit? Are you sure
the part about the abduction was not censored away? I hope your edition
didn't have the Mounties going to arrest $crooge for telling bad jokes!
Actually, Goldie only said two balloons to Steele (not "Stil"... the real
names of actual people should not be translated) -- the second one
originally contained a suggestive word play that might not have been
censored, maybe it was just untranslatable.
Okay, that's that -- now to Greece!
