I've given lots of thoughts to this story since the first time I read it. In
the Norwegian translation, Mr Victor's name was "Vikar". When I then learned
that there actually IS a drawer named Vicar, and that he is one of the best
drawers in the Disney World, I of course thought of this story as a... I
don't remember the English word for "hyllest"... but a great "thank you" to
Vicar. (and you DO know that Victor is the real name of Vicar?) Remember;
Vicar did not write the script to this story, Gorm Transgaard did. And I
guess this was his way of thanking Vicar for all the magnificent works he'd
done.

I must admit that I, when reading the story, thought that this was the way
Vicar looked. Vicar himself obviously didn't want the figure to look like
him, or maybe he never realized that this figure was himself?

Anyway, all thanks to Vicar for being what he's been and for doing what he's
done!

I don't like his art at all. I think that this is mainly because I see too
much about it and because the scripts aren't always very well written,
though.

Which, in turn, led Rosa to make a similar drawing in one of his stories,
with the text "Wanted for being DAD". 8-)

Carl Barks has been drawn as the bookkeeper of Glomgold in a Ducktales
comic.

The Dutch artists also drew each other now and then. I remember drawings of
Ed van Schuijlenburg, Jan Kruse, and Carl Barks.

Nope.
Victor in the story *was* meant to be Vicar, and was named Victor
from the start. Why Vicar decided not to reveal his own identity is unknown
to me...

There is also Cavazzano appearing in a funny story: "Topolino e gli incontri falsificati (dal solito tipo)" I AT 262-A, where he appears as the real drawer of the story, not like an anonymous cameo.

Also Luciano Gatto left his "signature" in many stories, drawing a cat (cat=Gatto in Italian) in the first or in the last panel of his stories.

One of the most famous is "La Strada", with Fellini and so on, drawn by
Cavazzano. But there is a Scarpa one, too, with MM.

And some references in two stories, a Walt Kelly one (DD and the 7 Dwarfs)
and a MM's Sunday Pages (Brave Little Tailor), both now reprinted in
"Fantastico Walt".

Indeed, there is also a D. Branca's story which contains an Ulrich Schoroder
caricature. Do you want know what (I must check), or you already know it?
