Hi friends. As most of you know, we here in America are now
WITHOUT any new Disney comics of nearly any sort.

Without a proper source for comics here I was wondering if
anyone out there from other countries can tell me if you see
comics based on Disney's Hercules? There was a brief run
in Acclaim's line of digest sized books until they dropped
their Disney Line. I have grown quite fond of the animated
series here, but it is about to end all new production and
I was hoping to find out if any comics based on Disney's
Hercules were produced anywhere else.

Right now I'm just seeking information, and not necessarily
a trade situation.

Thanks for the reply Francois. Here in America we also got a Graphic
Novel, of sorts, which was released in the size of the Digests by Acclaim.
I was sorely disappointed by it printed format since it was done using
actual screenshots from the film but with typical dialogue bubbles from
comics. I would much rather have seen the mivie presented as a regular
graphic novel like all the previous one (about the size of a regular
comic book and every panel drawn in comicbook fashion).

Anyhow, there were a few Hercules comics published by Acclaim during their
time publishing "Disney's Action Club" and "Disney's Enchanted Stories"
back in 1997, and I'm assuming they were specifically created by employees
or contractors to Acclaim and not imports from Europe since the stories
carried storycodes like "97AC335". All of these were produced before the
animated series began in the U.S.

Now, let me refine my query into Hercules comics.

After the series premiered on television there was one comic published in
Disney Adventures Magazine and can be seen on-line at:

This comic was unusual because formerly all the Hercules tales took
place AFTER the end of the theatrical film maintaining Hercules as an
adult and in a relationship with the film's heroine, Megara. However,
the above comic is an example of a tale presenting Hercules as a
teenager in High School, and sharing an adventure with his school
friends (who were not a part of the original film). This tale also
has a storycode which I believe is French in origin so I was curious
if there were OTHER stories presented in France or elsewhere focusing
on Hercules' Teen Years like this one?
