Thanks. After having not found it on the net at some booksellers I tried
to get it by a "real" bookseller. I hope they could order it. I think it's a
bit

The general rule seems to be that his suit is black in the comic book
stories, while it's blue on the covers.

because Al Talliaferro set the standard? His newspaper strips where
generally black and white, though a comic generally contains colours.
So, even though the comic could use a blue suit, maybe it was still kept
black to give more contrast to the panels, especially in the days in
which comics had a limited use of colours?
On the comic book covers, his suit seems to be blue because on the comic
book stands it attracts more attention than black. Somewhere in the Carl
Barks Library in Color albums there's an article explaining that on the
1940s comics Donald had a variety of head-gears in different colours and

Disney comics are still popular in Indonesia but not in some other countries
in Asia AFAIK. Anyway, the Disney popularity here in my country is kinda
dropping down in sales and fandoms. This is based on my observation only but
i know that Disney is losing its popularity in Indonesia, the Japanese manga
comics are the reasons.
Unfortunately, i cannot help you on Korean/ Japanese issues. But in here,
there used to be biweekly bilingual Disney issues which is unfortunately had

I have studied *no* Italian, and with my knowledge of English (plus a bit
of French and Latin) I was able to struggle through the Italian edition
of Don's "War of the Wendigo", back when Gladstone could only dream of
publishing the story in English. Carrying this further, Archontis actually
*learnt* Italian by struggling through Italian Disney comics using this
method, so I would think that with a couple of years of studying Italian
you would have no problem reading Italian comics, perfecting your language
skills along the way. The question is whether two years of studying
(presumably ancient) Greek are enough to enable you to read Greek comics!

I have two qeustions, as this list is very quiet at the time being.
I would like to know (for the homepage about different versions of Don
Rosas stories) if the Cahrts of Columbus was published in 1 or 3 issue
in your country. If it was published over 3 issues it may be a 3-part
versions that isn't commonly known and I would like scans of the
splash-panels (first panels of the story) of the parts in the two last
issues.
I would also like to know about other not very much known versions (I
found, with help from friends that Eldorado and the Croesus story are
published in 2 and 3 parts in eg. Sweden and the US)

seing the old scans, dins the links at http:// www.duckhunt.de . They
are a bit wry and small, and I am going to make larger scans and fill
in translated texts soon.
Overmore: I have asked at my local library if I could make an

final examinatons, and I can't understand a damned single word in the
(three) KOMIX issues I have!

Well... I SHOULD be there, since I've an exhibition, about A. Terenghi, a
non-Disney old italian cartoonist. But... I've a lot of things to do in this
period, and maybe I'm able to be there only the last day, on Sunday... So,
