Oh, and in my eagerness to answer I totally missed the point: the question was not about the flag
itself but a note to the colorist; sorry-- but then, the note was removed by Gladstone, so I only
saw the flag.

BTW, the female character with Jos? in your calendar-- where is she from. did
you invent her or is she from a story by another artist (is she aurora?)
And is it true that one of your next stories will reveal Hortense and
Matilda's destiny? (as told by PICSOU Mag)
I think I old my opinion in an old message posted here:I think that Maybe the
regular beagle boys all have the same mother. (They call eachother brother,
althought they don't have the same fathers) I know it'd be immoral, (and so
that nobody will be allowed to tell this in a story... if they censor a $???#

Thinking about whether the sides of Scrooge's money bin should be curved
(as in Italian stories) or straight (as in Barks' and Don's stories), I
just realized that a money bin with straight sides would be a collapsed
money bin. Look at how water dams are constructed: they are much
thicker at the bottom, to withstand the higher pressure there. Multiply
this pressure by the specific gravity of the metal used for coins, and
you'll see that the pressure at the bottom of the money bin is several
times higher than the pressure at the bottom of a water dam of the same
height. If Scrooge had ever built a money bin with straight sides (to
save on concrete, perhaps), all the Beagle Boys would have had to do
would be to wait at the bottom of Killmotor hill until Scrooge started
filling the bin with money. They could then collect the money as it fell
down the hill when the bin exploded.
Perhaps some Disney artist with a background in civil engineering ;-)
might want to shed more light on this. Would it make sense, e.g., if the
space inside the bin were not a cube, but an inverted cone or pyramid,
so that the walls would be thicker at the bottom?
Of course, this doesn't explain why Italian money bins are narrow in
the middle, rather than the top!

Jos?'s girlfriend (the character I think you're referring to with
the name "Aurora") is, and should always be, named *Maria Vaz* in English.
She's the one named Rosinha in the Brazilian comics.
There is no recurring character in the Jos? Carioca comics named
Aurora. The name was used for Maria for awhile due to an error I made (and
mistakenly passed along to Rich's Hoozoo pages as fact).

messages is frankly
irritating. All email programs can send text only messages. Please study
your program.

that litle bit nicer.

I know it's very irritating to have to come through all those symbols.
The problem is that I used to use Outlook express for my messages before, so
I could send "normal" messages. Now, I am AOL member, and you can't use
Outlook express if you are on AOL, so I can only send my messages with AOL
7.0 program, and so my messages will stay so.. sorry!

rolling my eyes.

tedious.
There is no #176-480 in the story? You're sure? Well, then I guess I goofed
again. I constantly make errors on BB numbers, probably because I pencil in
numbers intending to check them later before I ink, and then a month or two
later I'll just ink the pencils figuring I knew what I was doing when I drew
it, which is a reckless assumption at best
