The censorship compelled by Disney to be applied to several stories in
the original Carl Barks Library focused mainly on depictions of
ethnicities, and this sensitivity persists. The "problem" concerning
the Brutopians, however, has pretty much gone by the wayside...I don't
think there's anyone left at Disney who would have any idea why there
was such a "problem" in the first place.
In the upcoming Free Comic Book Day edition of "Majarajah Donald",
there is a single incidence of current "censorship" on Disney's part.
This "correction" was not in the original CBL or in the CBL in Color
album. I'll be interested to see if anyone here can spot it. I'm not
sure I would.

delivering of each issue is quite accurate. Me, I live in Spain; Last time
I renewed my subscription to Picsou, it took 2 months (by ordinary mail)
for the request to arrive and the first issue to be sent. I encourage you
to be patient. Picsou is quite a good magazine; it's worth waiting.

That's the one. For whatever reason, I didn't remember a title, or that there
even was a title attached to it. I thought it was an "okay" story as far as
most of Barks' epics went. It was amusing, if not only for the clever puns.
That's the difference between Barks' 60's comic-puns and the 60's comic-puns
of the rest of the world: his were actually funny.

I would count the appearance of GD in the crowd scene of DuckTales episode
"Horse Scents," and have used similar logic when counting appearances for
such characters as Fifi the Peke and Jenny Wren.
The bun-hairdo and glasses are quite distinct characteristics of GD in the
Duck Universe, and she has been creditted in cartoons before.
So, including this appearance, I would say she has appeared in a total of 4
(four) Disney cartoons:
1. "This is Your Life, Donald Duck" (Mar. 11, 1960) - (voiced by June

I'm looking for a scan of the Phantom Blot's nephews from those two
stories. I would really love to see the whole "Brats Club" comic, but
that's probably a bit too much to ask. It would make a great contrast to

I was aware of all but the "Dr Jekyll & Mr McDuck" appearance. Was it a
cameo or did he participate in that story. I remember the story since it
involved a character called "Shedlock Jones" who, IMHO, was a merging of
Mickey's detective friends from comics, Shamrock Bones & The Sleuth.
NEWTON GEARLOOSE appeared in the the "Super Doo" episode of DUCKTALES as a
member of the Junior Woodchucks.
Also, in one of the last DAISY DUCK cartoons where Daisy tries to sell
"hair bows" made for the HOUSE OF MOUSE I noticed a female "wolf" that
looked a lot like Marie Loupe as one of the women attending Daisy's sale.
The artists used all of the typical women from the HOM cartoons (Minnie,
Clarabelle, Clara Cluck, Mrs. Turtle, etc. and a couple extras: a wolf and
a giraffe). I could think of no analogue for the Giraffe woman in Disney.
Little Bad Wolf made his cartoon cameo in "Porker's Court" segment of
"Totally Tasteless Video" from the older animated series called RAW TOONAGE.
At least when April, May & June made their HOM cartoon debut ("Ladies
Night") they were clearly identified as Daisy's nieces.
