given him, by the author on the original manuscript, -perhaps David Gerstein
can look that up for us. I know Pat well, and he is very interested in
paleontology. I have NO DOUBT that he patterned that character (at least
partly) after Bakker. David has contact with Pat,-so perhaps he can also ask
him that question for us.

Ok, thanks a lot for your replies! I did find that "Hey, Daisy.." picture.
As a bit off-topic note, I'd like to add what I imagined it could have been like:
I thought of an image, where Scrooge would be lying in a big mahogany bed in a large, classy bedroom (old-mysterious-mansion-from-Hercule-Poirot style) - lights dimmed, snowing outside, hat and cane on a chair next to the bed and a smile on his face - very touching and powerful scene in my opinion. Now if I only had the skills to export the picture out of my mind to paper. :)

There are more than two stories.
There is NO "paleontologist/rancher".
I don't mean to gripe and grumble, but this is the second time I've
had to say this: the paleontologist (Professor Wagstaff) and the rancher
(Calhoun) are two different characters. Please don't try to come up with
theories about these characters without looking back at the original
stories.
Professor Wagstaff, determined dinosaur-breeding paleontologist, may
be based on Bakker. Buck Calhoun meanwhile is a simple, kindly old Wild West
rancher whose concerns are the success of his ranch and the well-being of
his favorite horse.

Egmont Creative A/S (formerly Egmont Comic Creation A/S) bought the
story from McGreal in English. We work with it internally in English, and it
is translated from English by local publishers around the world. The
"official" Disney character names of the characters are thus their English
names: Professor Wagstaff and Buck Calhoun.
The characters' Danish names are decided by Egmont's local Danish
publisher with no input from us. They have no bearing on the characters
anywhere but Denmark. They are not the "official" names in any capacity.

Hi!
I bought today the new Picsou Magazine and have some
commentaries about it...
first, the toy that was promised, a yoyo octopus, wasn't given
with the issue, they replaced it at the last minute with an ancient
issue of "Mickey Jeux" from 2001 (#100, the price was still in
Francs on it :-)) because of a law thazt has just been voted by
the DGCCRF against yoyo toys because some children with this
kind of toys recently... That's why the issue didn't come out the day
it should (first wednesday of each month), but a bit later...
The quality of Picsou Magazine seems to get quite better! informations
provided and colors are quite good.
Don Rosa's "The Dream of a Lifetime" was published in it!
Barks' "Hound of the Whiskervilles" too, and surprise : the name
Biskerville, former translation of "whiskerville" in French, became
"Whiskerville" again! I prefer when translation keeps original names...
In the "Clairon de Donaldville", pictures have been published, probably
took from internet : the fandrawing with the clan mcduck, the one with the
Ducks as characters of Lord of the Rings, and the stamps from 2000 from
Aku Ankka...

this is an interresting translation... I'm very interrested in the
translation of accents (Scottish accent, Ludwig's Austrian accent, or
American farmers' accent, for instance...) in comics

Now you?re beating a dead horse, Stefan (or however that saying goes). I
guess we ALL know by now that this 1967-thing is Rosa's opinion and that
Sigvald usually states those opinions as if they were canon. Sigvald
does this no matter *anyone* says (he's stubborn that way), so please
could we all just accept this and not gripe about it everytime Sigvald
fails to mention Rosa-universe when he writes something. That's like
default assumption (this could be put on DCML FAQ). If you can just
accept Sigvald the way he is, you can start appreciating some of his
posts in their own Rosa-universe context.
I can't believe you could actually beat Sigvald in stubborness in this
case. And if you do try, it will be extremely boring for the rest of us. ;-)
