I attended the San Diego Disney breakfast, and enjoyed talking to Don, David
Gerstein, the Gilberts, John Lustig, Barry Branvold and Eric Chun. (Sorry if
I've left anyone out). Don mentioned that he'll be working on the next new
Life of $crooge chapter in a few months, and I hope to letter it after it
appears in Europe (Gladstone willing).

Once more about the quality of the finnish weekly...
Mike, I absolutely agree with you, the stories did get better in the 90's,
and especially Mickeys, which I never liked before. He's not that annoying
all-knowing virtuous private eye any more. I also remember a good story
published some time ago, it was about Donald who was having a nightmare -
as was found out in the end - Duckburg had changed completely, and so had
everybody living in it. It was a two part -story, I think, and I very much
liked the surrealist athmosphere in it, very movie-like, I think. I wonder
who the author is?
What was that you mentioned about Lo$ being published in hard back? In

of this mailing list's existance (in August, 1992). The other one was Per
Starback. I still remember Per writing "doesn't anyone else have a view on
important things like this?"
Other people started sending messages in the second week (me being one
of them). And, as they say, the rest is history... 8-)

It's drawn by Marco rota. The story itself isn't too good (didn't we agree on
that Mike?), but the drawings were good as always.
There was another story by him in DD&co (Norway) #28 (14 pages)
This story was better. It was about Donald meeting some ind...
native americans who had a talking totempole stealing all their food,
gold and petrol.
I think there'll be a new Rota-story next week

Not to beat on a dead horse, but doesn't Gladstone say that the CBL in
Colour for WDC&S reprints ALL of the stories done by Barks for the
flagship title (I've seen many ads making this claim)? Are they not
telling the truth?
(Unfortunately I'm moving and I've put away all my Disney comic book
for a month otherwise I'd give the exact wording.)

Are you sure that it's had only one printing? I've got a copy (in a Dell
Giant I believe) and I know that I didn't pay $300.
Of course, I like Mickey Mouse comics from Ken Hultgren to Paul Murray (and
Dick Moores). I'm probably more likely to pick up and read a Dell Mickey
these days than Donald (of course I've read all the Barks Donalds many
times).
