That's a shame snowpeck. Does this mean they are going to be cancelled soon?

It's the same thing that happened to Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers, and the regular standard character titles, right before Boom canceled those books.

The Boom website says the 12-issue DuckTales subscriptions are "sold out". So they only had a limited number of subscriptions they could offer? Looks like they came up with a new way of avoiding questions dealing with their Disney books .... have something sell out before it's even published.

So the last Darkwing issue will be #16 .... what will the last DuckTales issue be? I'm guessing #8 since they're starting a new story arc in #5 and they generally have been good about letting story arcs complete themselves (unlike some other publishers; have to give them credit for that).

Did anyone actually purchase a 12-issue DuckTales subscription? If so, are they going to be refunded the cost of the unpublished copies? One thing I'll never forget is how Gemstone honored unfilled Gladstone subscriptions. That was a class act.

Well, inasmuch as they're losing the license next year anyway, it's clear that they don't have any interest in building up any sort of brand; at this point, they're just doing their best to suck whatever short-term profit they can out of the thing. If you ask me, it's dickish behavior, but you didn't ask me.
Anyway, I suppose it's the American Way.
