In the database the story S74266 "Paa skattejagt"
(Treasurehunting), Marco Rota is listed to artist,
but it doesn't look like the other stories by him I've read. Can
anybody tell me whether Rota _is_ the artist or not?

This almost has to be the Carl Barks story "A Duck's-Eye View of Europe,"
which originally appeared in WDC&S #273, June 1963. The thing I remember
about that story was the fact that Donald kept getting blocked by an
overweight lady pig tourist.
It was NOT "The Terrible Tourist" from WDC&S #248; that was the remake of the
banned "Christmas Carols" story with Neighbor Jones, in which Donald made a
pest of himself south of the border.

scan, etc. The hole story will be on the web for at least a couple of
months, so it might be a good idea to read them the way they're supposed to

Harry, aren't you confusing something here? "The Terrible Tourist" was the
one about Donald vacationing in Latin America and annoying a houseowner by
serenading a "senorita" on his balcony, which was in fact a dummy;
essentially the story is a remake of the rejected "Silent Night" Christmas
story of some decades earlier.
What I think Carl-Henrik is referring to is another story by Barks, one of
his later WDC stories, about visiting Europe (allo of it) in ten days. Of
course, this leads to extreme scarcity of time, resulting in the situations
described by Carl-Henrik. I'm sorry I can't give any more info now, but
perhaps someone else can look it up.

The new-improved version of my Italian Disney story index is now on line at
the usual URL:

Major changes are:
-the index now lists only stories PRODUCED for Italy. S-coded, D-coded and
such are not listed any more (they previously were, in part, when drawn by
popular Italian artists such as Scarpa, Gatto, Cavazzano, Carpi). This

This story was published in France in "Belles Histoires de Walt Disney"
# 15 in 1955. An index of the BH series will be published in the
Collectionneur de bandes dessinées around september. And it'll be in the
DcD of course!
I have never seen that particular issue so I can't tell how is the
translation. Stefan, what is so untranslatable??
BTW, thanks to Per-Erik for the scans. I really wanted to see how those
Swedish comics look like!
