How about this, the Three Little Pigs appeared sans-shirts, taking a bath in this comic

I'm curious, has there ever been nude scenes for dogface characters such as the beagle boys, Pete etc?

I think I saw one where Mickey and Pete fight and...shred their clothes!

Now here's one where Don Rosa spoofs-off the scene where King Kong removes Fay Wray's Outer Clothing. But instead the part of Fay Wray is played by Donald Duck and King Kong's part is played by Dinosaurs! It's called "Escape from Forbidden Island".

BTW-The story "Donald's Xmas Bath"...does Donald Duck take a bath or something? If so...then there's one for the Holiday Season!

I guess it is exactly the ostensible asexuality of the Ducks' world that attracts the interest of analysts (and of voyeurs) and that provokes efforts of investigating it on the unshown and unspoken things behind the curtain, things which, however, logically must or should exist there. Unter Brüdern, I don't regard the positivistic collecting of nudity pictures of the story characters as overly thrilling; I find the type of Donaldistic research (as the Institut for Donaldistisk Sexologi presents it in Danish) much more interesting (and maybe one of hundred "nudity" pictures from the comics can be regarded as "sexual", as of sexological interest in any way).

Apropos, just found this picture on that Danish Donaldistic site (from the German Der Donaldist). Hasn't been presented here yet, I think, but it matches perfectly with this thread's subject as well as with the question (the doubt) of its legitimation or sense coming up now ... :P

With respect to Don Rosa, I seriously have got doubts that he primarily thought of children as readers of his Duck stories ... :P

Quote from user: Roger NorthI didn't see any naked Beagle Boys in that story. They must have edited that part out in the American editions of that story.
No, no, Rosa doesn't show the Beagle Boy buck naked to the reader! He shows, however, Miss Quackfaster seeing him buck naked and fainting, and he clarified that exactly this is what Quackfaster sees and what makes her faint.

Speaking of Don Rosa, he always drew Magica De Spell with an explicit décolleté. I don't think that any other Disney artist does this. I wouldn't be surprised if that is censored in some countries (it would be quite easy to retouch anyway).

First-Thanks for the article.

Second-I started this thread because I've seen Donald Duck the way Ducks are intended (sans clothing) in movies like "Fantasia/2000" and "Three Caballeros".

Third-There was a Bertel-Express which mentions this as well. It was #12 I think (One where Donald Duck covers his nudity with the magazine).

Fourth-There's nudity in some Children's Cartoons. Look at (Dare I say this?) nude scenes in the movie "Fantasia" itself and "The Little Mermaid" as well.

And the weirdness goes on...and I'm done for the decade! I'll see all of you in 2010!

Sure. Lots of nude fish everywhere. :) I'm just puzzled by the fascination of nude children's characters that some posters seem to have, that's all.

Yeah...in the Disney cartoon "Little Hiawathah"...Hiawathah's pants falls off more than once.

Could someone give that kid a belt?

The United States was founded with large contingents of power from Puritan New England, Quakers, and other ultra conservative religious groups in Pennsylvania and the remaining from all over England (whose recent religious tradition was heavily against nudity). Both Britain's and USA's societies still act (for the most part)
as if people weren't born without their clothes, and that nudity is not natural (and it is dangerous). They (on average) have a prurient attitude towards ALL nudity. They even put clothing on their dogs and cats.

Oh...don't forget The Hays Code....

Some scenes of movies were cut out after that!

Back on subject...was Goofy ever seen sans clothes or was he just mostly modest?
Sirredknee
He used to walk the streets of Mouseville without trousers in his early days.

You really see a relation between the two things?! Ridiculous.

I guess that just shows why I make such a meagre living as a comedy writer.

I think that's what they (Disney) is trying to proove...Ducks don't even wear clothes! So they think it would be funny if Donald Duck bares it all!

And while you're in Disnwyworld (which is a bad idea since it's cold), you can see Donald Duck au naturel as he poses as the Thinker in Minnie's Toontown House....

BTW-This was also seen in Epcot as well....

I have 3 questions for this pic...

1) What short is this?

2) Why is Donald Duck naked?

3) Is that even Donald Duck at all?
Gusty
In "Mickey and the Seal", I wonder why they gave such a short, and revealing bathrobe to Mickey:

and what happened to Mickey's tail?

Hey Gusty, how's it going?

BTW-I think Horace Horsecollar has been nude more than Donald Duck has. (I think Horace got clothes when the Hays Code was launched...which was the 30's).

But I have a few more scans....

In the christmas cheers story the nephews appear nude in three panels:

I also read a story with scrooge being naked a few days ago, I hope I can find it so I can post it.

Also, I noticed it's only males that get nude. Donald, Huey Dewey & Louie and scrooge get naked multiple times. But I don't ever recall daisy and April, may & june being nude.

To the guy who was asking about goofy, I'm pretty sure I've seen a cartoon or comic with him naked once. I have no idea which one though. But I can clearly remember it from when I was a kid, the ducks getting nude never bothered me, but I remember being quite appalled when I saw goofy naked.

Was this Barks cover already mentioned in this thread? WDC 177.
