That was actually the point of that joke. Both he and Porky had to point out to the townsfolk that they were not wearing any clothes, before the townsfolk gasped in shock and Daffy and Porky got arrested.

Is there any story (wich you know or anything) in wich HDL are "forced" to strip(like happend pretty often to DD or Scrooge) or were emberrassed about being clothless?(like DD or Scrooge?) or something like that?You know what i talking about.

Thinking about this moment again, I didn't realized how those Brazilian comics tend to make Jose (or "Ze") rather fully clothed a lot the way he seems to wear pants a lot or have the look of pants in his bottom feathers the way they draw the character, though often I see covers with him wearing jeans or shorts too. I guess I always thought he had nothing below the waist like Donald most of the time.
