These covers are from the Brazilian "Margarida"-magazine, which is known for its often refreshing and more interesting take on Daisy.

More covers? Visit: http://www.papersera.net/vilaxurupita/mg/mg001_025.htm

But interestingly enough, it seems like Daisy has to be covered up, by sand or water or a towel, because only male characters are allowed to show everything at once.

Yeah...true. The Ladies seem to be modest, and that's okay.

Another Disney character that went au natruel was...
The Big Bad Wold from "The Three Little Pigs" Franchise...more than likely when The wolf attempts to blow-down Practical Pig's House.

I wanted to say something about that character myself but wasn't sure if it was going too off-topic before (though once I get through this it will be).

One thing I kinda always found rather interesting in this cartoon was in how while it seems like a perfect gag to do (pants fall off after the suspenders break apart), the wolf simply continues relentlessly getting into the house without caring to realize his current state of undress. It kinda made me think of some of the animals in Beatrix Potter stories whom often lose their clothes in awkward situations, whether it's Peter Rabbit's jacket and shoes in one story, or Tom Kitten and his sibs losing their duds to some ducks in another. Clothing on animals just seems like this superficial, uncomfortable if not unnecessary requirement in such a world, yet one that is trying to abide to a more civilized form of life by doing so (what anthropomorphism does best at it seems). The way though it happens to the wolf is something of a transformation of a character who begins aping a very humanly vagabondage attire to become fully a wolf in the process. It's not play off as much of a gag as more of nonchalance in the way the clothing comes off him.

Getting further away from comics and animated cartoons for a while, here's some scans from a storybook version of this cartoon that came out shortly after it's release.

A later children's record released by Capitol featured illustrations too, though they were being rather nice to the guy and he's only pants-less in one drawing.

The "Three Little Wolves" would swing more to the gag territory with it's one or two moments of pants dropping glory, such as Big Bad having a wardrobe malfunction while in disguise and while he and one of his sons are fooled by the two captive pigs to blow a horn.

Then there's The Thrifty Pig, which in itself was a redrawn version of the original Silly Symphony with the wolf given a Nazi armband and general's hat. Nothing much given it's intent in interesting a Canadian public into buying savings certificates for the war effort.

I don't recall any time in the comics when BBW (or "Zeke") went au natruel myself, though in the early 2000's, an episode of "Disney's House of Mouse" had a cartoon, "Li'l Bad Wolf", where Big Bad gets sheared by a wheat thrasher.

Anyone know of any other Pete scenes?

I believe he joins Goofy in a jacuzzi in "A Goofy movie".
There might also be some nude scenes of Pete from like the 1930s.

At least he doesn't have that 'bulge' in the front (besides his gut)! Funny he would be covering his rear rather than the other way around here.

Wouldn't be surprised. I do recall a moment in 1928's "The Gallopin' Gaucho" where both Mickey and Pete lose their pants during a bit of fencing in this scene.

Just reminded myself of a near cheeky moment for Pete in "Mickey & The Three Musketeers" where he first appears while taking a shower in a tub. I suppose we should be thankful of being spared anymore of Pete than there needs to be seen!

Getting back to Donald, noticing all the times he's been taking a bath reminded me of this commercial where he appears alongside another pants-free celebrity pimping a brand of bubble bath that came in bottles shaped like different characters.

Adding more iodine to the pain, I came across this image from an article unrelated to Disney, but it has Donald in a cameo none the less. Japanese comic author Osamu Tezuka has been said to have been inspired by Disney in his early years and here's one example from the late 50's where a a child while having hunted for ducks encounters our web-footed pal and makes off with his shirt (just for anyone who doesn't know, this should be read from right to left, of course it's in Japanese though Donald's sole line was written in English anyway)!

Going off-topic, here's where the image came from in case anyone is interested in checking it out!

Yeah...I know it's summertime Pete...but some people look awful in thongs!

I'm not here as often as I should...I don't have internet now, so I won't be bringing any Disney Nakedness as of now...but here's one that hasn't been mentioned, Gus Mouse from "Cinderella"....

And didn't the Brer Rabbit, Bear, or Fox were seen au-naturel? Because in one Golden Book, Brer Bear used his jacket on a Tar Baby to catch Brer Rabbit.

And there was a story where Donald Duck was wearing just a box of fries...did he lose his costume?

I could've added that here. It's an interesting moment when you have to sit back and think of Gus as simply a regular stray mouse who gets indoctrinated into the mice community in the castle he has never been to before, so that moments always did seem kinda interesting in a contextual way of a naked, alien immigrant having to be given clothes automatically and conform to the standards of the group. Of course this could all be Cinderella's doing anyway given the way she treats the mice anyway, I'm sure the mice elsewhere in the kingdom don't have it that good. (of course when I think of fully dressed mice, the Disney short "Ben & Me" always comes to mind with it's "little human" the way I viewed the Amos character)

I do have that story. It's called "De Tar Baby", drawn by Paul Murry, it follows just you you say (certainly a difference from the film where there was already a spare coat handy so Brer Bear never had to go through anywhere beyond getting hair pulled off his butt for the tar baby's head).

Sorry it's not a good picture, but I don't have a scanner presently and had to make due with a camera.

I apologize that I got there early with that. Yeah, Gus started as a regular mouse in "Cinderella" until Cinderella befriended him.

And also for animals that didn't wear anything, but later did was Horace Horsecollar. The first few cartoons had him wearing only a yoke and the last time he went all-out was in "The Band Concert", where he removed his Band Uniform...also an unnamed Pig loses his Band Uniform as well as his underclothes.
