From ALBERTO BECATTINI

More answers to more questions...

Pujol's name is Miquel, spelled with a "q". This is the Catalan version =
of the more common Miguel.

James Goof IS a James Bond spoof, as far as I can see. Nothing to do =
with Sherlock Holmes. I think that Goofy has dressed up like Sherlock in =
the MICKEY ENIGME page... but that's a different thing. And THE SLEUTH =
(of the MICKEY AND THE SLEUTH series) has nothing to do with Goofy... =
although he is a hound.

I guess that Pujol inked the JAMES GOOF stories himself, although Juan =
ESPINACH was often assisting him during those years... most likely on =
the stories Pujol did for Italy, which look considerably worse than the =
French ones.

Manolo is the correct first name of artist GALDON.

No other story in the TIME MACHINE series but the first one has been =
published in Italy so far. I know that the third one was drawn by the =
mediocre Tino SANTANACH, but I've never seen nos. 4-6. I look forward to =
see Rota's "Russian" story published in Italy... I'll tell Lidia =
Cannatella to publish it in a forthcoming issue of ZIO PAPERONE.

Best to all, ALBERTO

I have the same opinion for another artist: Jose Colomer Fonts. His
Italian stories look bad (those I saw at least), while his Dutch stories
are usually good.

Jose Canovas from the Comicup studio calls him *Antonio* Galdon. He may
be wrong on the first name, unless Antonio Galdon is not the same artist
(though the styles are similar).

There's also another difference of names: Jose Canovas write "Juan
Spinach" instead of "Espinach".

As far as I know, this is the same situation in France. Maybe the reason
for this is the same, too?

An idea of Henri Dufranne. I think - but I'm not 100 per cent sure of
that - that Dufranne was the only artist who drew Goofy dressed like
this (as Sherlock Homes - or Shamrock Bones?). The Sherlock-Goofy has
disappeared from the Enigme page now.
