I think the official name is "Junior Woodchucks of the World",
with the WJW logo used in that order just because the two "W's"
balance each other out, like a monogram on a shirt pocket.
I'm sure Don Rosa will come up with a better answer...

Check out the latest Dutch Donald Duck weekly, page 7, first panel (page 3 of D 6546):
television: "... and our first candidate is Harry Flex from Leipendam! Applause!"
DD: "Damn! *I* should've been there!"
And the resemblence between the guy showing on the screen and the target of the gag is quite
striking!
At last Harry gets the tribute he deserves! :-)

I've often wondered about that. Even "gag" covers by guys like Van Horn and
Jippes, which I would considered readily usable anywhere, in any format,
have been redrawn in Holland, for no particular reason I've been able to
discern other than conforming to a "house" style.
In the Disney "system", of course, they are free to do this. In certain
ways, it's even expected; every publisher of Disney comics material has
reworked existing material at one time or another (Gladstone hardly less
than anyone else). It just still seems odd to see cover ideas that I know
came from one artist being drawn anew by another artist, and that a
publisher would want to take the trouble and expense of doing that.

Someone has some info about Mr. Don Mc Laughlin?
If I'm correct, he was the Disney man in Burbank that control al the Disney
publishers around the world during the 70, 80's...He's the responsible to
mantain the Disney look into the comics, and he also give the liberty that
each Disney publisher had at that time...but it's also HIS decision to put
off Renato Canini from the brazilian Disney production...so, he's an key
person into my study into Disney comics to my monography!
I'd like to know more about! I'm not sure, but in a conversation with Mr.
Jos? Guarnieri, a argentine Disney drawer, 'cames to me the impression that

done.
Friend, donaldist and dcml-member Timo Ronkainen did a likely drawing
as a cover
for the combined issue 113 of Sarjainfo and Ankkalinnan Pamaus 9
(4/2001) - both finnish fanzines.

Even though the word is old (used in Sweden since before 1520), I think the
modern use of it in English comes from the modern word used in Scandinavia
(not only Norway) today. Otherwise the spelling in English would have been
different (my oppinion) as the spelling in Scandinavia has changed during
the years.

Hi!
Thank u to Ari and Anders ! I have been very pleased by comparing my drawing
and the one Timo drew! I didn't know there had been another! (but I was sure
I wasn't the first one who had the idea)
I drew it for my art final exam on the 30th of may, with some other bigger
drawings, such as a "Lichtenstein" version of a Don Rosa styled panel, or the
panel from Lo$ when Scrooge gives a hand to donald for the first time, that I
have cut of, stuck in the middle of a big sheet in a kind of photograph frame
and that I have redrawn bigger in grey with human characters (the character I
chose for Scrooge is an old man who looks like the old man in the drawing
Barks made in which we could see Ebenezer Scrooge in front of Scrooge McDuck,
but their heads were exchanged...)

D.U.C.K.hunt "Don Rosa's Duck Family Tree" section has
been completely reconstructed and is now back on-line:

As you will see, it has been improved in many ways.
Feel free to tell me if you:
- Know about any publication missing in the listsings.
- Have any comments about any of the trees (when it
comes to the graphics, coloring, name of the
characters, etc) or about the section as such.
- Find any typos.
During my work with this new section, I have also
discovered that the I.N.D.U.C.K.S. / COA pages about
this tree contain several errors, inconsistencies and
missing information. I hope that our friend Harry
Fluks or some one else involved with the
I.N.D.U.C.K.S. / COA pages can be helpful by
commenting this:
a) The French version is wrongly named "Et quelques
illustres habitants de Donaldville". That's actually
the text in the header of the sidebar. The correct
French title for the entire tree is "Une famille en
or!".
b) The I.N.D.U.C.K.S. / COA pages operate with various
codes for this piece of work. And the D-code don't
even start with the actual year (93) it was done. So
what is the correct code(s) and why?
c) The list of publications is not complete. For
example the 1993 publication in Norwegian DD&Co isn't
mentioned.
d) The tree is probably published in many languages
which are not mentioned in the I.N.D.U.C.K.S. / COA -
files at all. For example I am pretty sure that a
Czech version of the tree does exist.

In "Gyro's First Invention" Don Rosa shows that Little
Helper does function well without his lightbulb.
However I know I have read another story or a few
other stories, where the lightbulb does make a big
difference. Do anyone here know what story or stories
this might be, and if any of those stories are made by
Barks?

Regarding selling drawing on ebay............
I have never sold one of the drawings I have gotten from Don, although I did
give one away to a friend who's high pressure job at Anderson Consulting give
him a grin every time he looked at that cursing donald throwing a tantrum!
I would never sell one. Someday when I am dead someone will have them
though.........................
Don are you going to the chicago comic con? Did you go to the motor city
comic con? I figured you wouldn't but I could be suprised. If you go to
chicago let me know. I just got back from there last night and would love to
go again! (Iknow your probably not drawing... . we can have "duck" for
