First of all, thanks for all the great emails and information that is passed
along via the DCML list.
I am in need of help in locating and purchasing comics from outside the USA.
I have listed them here (I am very sorry if I was not supposed to). I am
finding it difficult to locate these living in the USA so any help would be
greatly appreciated. Please email me at michaels at pacific.net if you can be
of assistance to me. I am specifically looking for comics that have featured
the characters "Spin and Marty". This is the list that I got from the COA.
Thanks in advanced for your time. Also, I have located 7 Spin and Marty
comics from Australia and I am not sure who to contact regarding inclusion

I am really surprised that I have seen nothing on the list about the latest addition to literature for Barkists. I have received my copy of Don Ault's latest publication, a real gem. It's called "Carl Barks--Conversations". It covers many years of his interviews and is published in hard cover and soft cover editions. The soft cover has a beautiful picture of Carl at his easel. I would think most of Carl's fans would be eager to have or read this book.

that Barks was the same way -- he created his Universe and surely wouldn't

Dear friends -
Some weeks ago, I ordered a Don Rosa calendar for Fernando. (Don't worry, I ordered one for myself too!) Now I am about to send it to him, but I need some advice. I have never mailed calendars/comics/etcetera before, and of course it is important that the calendar is not too damaged on its way from Norway to Brazil.
How should I wrap it so that it will still look like a calendar when it arrives in S?o Paulo?

(Which in my opinion is bad - I prefer reading the texts before I examine the picture, and it's hard to avoid the part about the D.U.C.K.!) But _not_ in the text for December! Why is that? Is it so that we can have a great Christmas time looking for it? Is it because it looked better to end the calendar with "happy New Year and thanks for being the world's greatest Duck fans" - or is it because the picture DON'T contain a D.U.C.K. for some reason? (OK, I must confess - I haven't looked yet)

I looked through my old mails yesterday, and I realise that the number of *interesting* mails coming from *me* is scaringly low. I can blame that on being busy, having stress and such, but the least I can do is also keep the number of my *un*interesting (grumpy) mails on a very low level. Level zero, if possible. Which I'll try to do, from now on.
I'll temporarily break that promise, by sending yet-another uninteresting mail (this one). 8-)

You may be interested to learn that Donald Ault is currently working on
another book entitled "The Comic Vision of Carl Barks" which sounds very
promising, too. However, it will probably not see print before next
year.
