I am really looking forward to these new Disney comics! And we still have Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney's Comics and Stories to look forward to as well.

I don't really like the Donald Duck #1 cover for non-subscribers; it's just re-used Dutch artwork from years ago, drawn by Jan-Roman Pikula (who is a brilliant artist, but this cover simply isn't his best work of all time). I really like the subscribers variant, but I guess that version won't be available to non-subscribers like me.
The cover to Uncle Scrooge #2 looks fantastic! Amazing artwork (in my opinion, this cover is even better than the actual story that will be printed in the issue :P).
And I hope they will change that typo on the cover of Uncle Scrooge #2 ('Heyman' instead of 'Heymans'). Of course, it doesn't really matter, but it does look kind of sloppy, doesn't it?

I dig his style. Then again, I've always had a thing for different artists making characters their own. I hope he'll get a chance to do a story one day, even if it's a short one.

Yeah, the regular cover is lame. Not the drawing itself, but the composition is crap and the fact they're obviously using coloring to stretch the image beyond it's original borders (look at the left side of the image) gives a very poor impression. I understand there's probably a limited amount of pre-existing artwork relating to this particular story, but if this is all they were able to find maybe going with a generic, all-purpose image of Donald would be a better choice.

What is the meaning of a subscribers' variant? Is this for people that subscribe to the title at their LCS or for people that subscribe to the comic book via mail?
I believe it is for ppl who subscribe via mail. The standard version is the version seen at an LCS.
