It looks like a preview of the first TPB from IDW.
I wonder about the number of pages. 96. How many issues it will be collected? 3? 4?
The price is very attractive (although this can be reduced size).
It could just be two issues, since each individual issue is 48 pages long. The pages taken up by ads in the individual issues would likely be replaced by ads in the TPB, as well as by the variant covers.

This raises something of a conundrum for me. Generally, when I know a series I am interested in will eventually be collected in TPB form, I simply wait and buy the TPB rather than individual issues. The TPB is sturdier, usually has bonus material (such as variant covers), is often more economical, saves on shipping, and I don't mind waiting for it to be released. This is what I did in the case of Boom's Darkwing Duck and Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers titles, for example, or titles from other publishers. The "core four" Disney titles have always been an exception in my mind, however, as I am used to buying and collecting the individual floppies with the traditional numbering, and they haven't really been released in collected TPB form in a consistent way by any prior publisher. However, given that the numbering has essentially been reset (the continued traditional numbering seems like an afterthought and I notice we've all begun to talk about "Uncle Scrooge #1"), and given that a TPB would collect all the variant covers, I'm having a hard time justifying to myself continuing to buy individual issues.

I'm surprised they're splitting Shellfish Motives into two parts (I thought they were going to use the remounted dutch version) but it does match up with what Jonathan Gray earlier said in this thread about IDW ''wanting to present italian stories proper when they can''.

So far, except for Uncle Scrooge #2, all the upcoming Disney stories from IDW are stories of Italian origin.
Are Disney comics from IDW going to heavily going to concentrate on Italian stories, or also stories from Egmont and other non-Italian sources? While I definitely want to see some of these Italian stories, I would miss not having some more "traditional" 4 panel stories as well. I also would like to see some issues perhaps contain 3 or 4 shorter stories. I love long adventures stories, but also like some shorter comedic stories.
In the end, I just hope for variety, variety, variety! :)

I do not know if you noticed, but in DD #1 will also include Kinney/Hulbard comic and Heymans comic. In the US# 3 will also be Strobl comic, in MM #1 Gonzales/Walsh comic, and in DD #2 Taliaferro comic. In addition, in the US# 1 besides main comic, is appear short Scarpa comic, which wrobably will be 4-panel.
But there is nothing to complain about, because in the first three months of issuing the Disney comics by IDW will be 2 great comics Scarpa, "The Duckburg 100", "Shellfish Motives", these are comics that are in Inducks' top 300.

You guessed right. It's this story, translated by Joe Torcivia and myself. Jubal Pomp at his peskiest, and a wily Brutopian bad guy??wait for it!
I read this story in German, and I think this is a really good story, and well drawn (I much more prefer Scarpa's drawings in 4-panel stories).
Although I waiting more for the release of first two issues of "Donald Duck" (2-part Romano Scarpa's story, one of the most important in the history of Disney comics).
In addition, first issue of "Mickey Mouse" has a really nice cover, perhaps is the best of yet revealed. I hope this is not the last cover made by Casty for IDW.

I hope they start taking subscriptions next month.
