Scrooge's drink is called "Tycoon Tonic." It's not an ad, let alone for a specific energy drink.
But even if Jon Gray had implied Red Bull in particular by naming the drink??say??"Purple Cow," it would be less an ad than a spoof.

I guess RedBull doesn't use that catchphrase in the US and its completely innocent there.
Oops! My bad, too: since working on the comic, I'd forgotten entirely about the catchphrase. Yep, that's Red Bull-like.

But its use was also a spoof??setting up Donald's insulting response, where "wingier" = crazier. And sure enough, rather than energize Scrooge, this drink actually leaves him a little crazy, dazed and confused. As a commercial for Tycoon Tonic (let alone Red Bull), this scene is an intentional flop!

But on various online comic shops, and eBay were the printed comics are scanned, I've only seen the first three and this blank sketch variant:

Does the "RE" cover as illustrated above exist?

SUB = subscription and RI = Retailer Incentive, but what does "RE" stand for?
For what it's worth, a Facebook post by IDW lists only the blank scetch, not the "RE" cover.

I was fascinated to discover that a small part of it's already been published in the US--an excerpt used to create "The Old West Diary of Goofalo Bill back in Disney Comics' Goofy Adventures #7.
Everything is still subject to change at this early stage, but suffice it to say that we haven't forgotten Goofalo Bill.

Yes, that's the one (mention of a money bin attack was a simple goof-up). Once again, at this early stage the contents of the issue might shift around, but for right now it's on the schedule securely enough that we could announce it.

I hope you guys liked my cover on it. It's one of the most intricate Disney related things I've ever done. I clawed and hissed at the opportunity to do one for it. :)
