Thanks Jano for all the information. I just backed the signed copy of Son of the Sun. I also almost ruined my Christmas present when I informed my wife that I was just going to go ahead and back the tipped in headshot pledge. Turns out, she had already got it for me :) It is a great time to be a duck fan.

You can read comics on your computer with it. The images are supposed to be inside a RAR file. It's nice but it's no substitute. It's good only if you can't afford the comics or if you want something rare to read.
I hope Rosa is as good as they say. :D

I never read a Rosa story. I´ve been "saving" them. I don´t want to read them on Comicrack or something like that. It´s not as fun.
For me, Rosa and Van Horn are like two brothers born of Barks' genius. Rosa is the epic storyteller with a sarcastic edge; Van Horn is the light-hearted, funny stories.

Very different storytellers, very different stories. Both worthy successors to the master.

Are Rosa's stories more clever than Barks'? Wow, what a great thing! I can't imagine that, though! Barks has some very clever storytelling. I like his drawing as well. I feel like it's almost minimalist and everything is very "round" and "cute". I think it looks great. There's also something about his tales that are moral but not preachy or moralistic. I like his messages and his character development. His characters are multidimensional and they serve the story rather than the story serving them. I love this.
Is there any chance we'll ever get a Fantagraphics Van Horn collection? Haha. I know it's soon but when Rosa collection ends, they sure could keep a second line alive with Van Horn. Any thoughts? :P

When I say more clever, I just mean that they feel like they have a lot more subtle humor to them then Barks' did. I could be wrong though. Barks' drawing is superb. "Experts" would say that Rosa's drawing is inferior. Rosa's seems very...geometric to me. And it's definitely the opposite of minimalistic. I don't think that geometric is the word I'm looking for, but the drawings seem to have very exact and intentional proportions. Plus the extra, possibly annoying detail thrown in.
