Read a review this morning and there were thumbs up everywhere except the wobbly back.
The size of the book seems to make the back a bit "soft" and the reviewer foresee that it'll get easily worn, when opened and re-opened (as you tend to do when reading)

The reviewer is jokingly telling that the articles by David are so well-written, that he almost skipped the stories, so here's some cred's for you, David!
I'm looking forward to receiving my copy.

Fantagraphics changes the color of its Peanuts books for each volume, and also changes the character featured on each cover. It looks like the Mickey books are just following suit.

Not sure why the page count is listed as being so much larger??must be some kinda glitch. It's ended up at 288 pages, just the same length as Vol 1.
No Sundays here, but only because we plan to use them elsewhere. I think you'll still enjoy the volume as much as Vol 1, though??we've got all of 1932 and 1933, with a ton of exciting extras and strip tie-ins both vintage and more recent (Gottfredson's paintings, DeStefano's "Return to Blaggard Castle").

I was just reading "Lost on a Desert Island" (I first read all the other material, as I want to read the Mickey strips chronologically) and amazed over the number of question marks there were. In fact, there were so many, that after I read the story I counted them. And counted. And counted.
And now, I have the answer to a question nobody really cares about: how many question marks in speech bubbles (I only counted lone question marks in speech bubbles) there were in "Lost on a Desert Island": 395. That's right: 395! Count for yourself if you want to. I don't care if it was fashion at the time, but I say Walt had a tic with (?)'s.

Other question: after "LoaDI", what's going to happen to all the non Gottfredson dalies? Will they be included, for the sake of completion? (I think they will be.) For anyone who'd like to know, these are the dailies during Gottfredson's run that weren't by Gottfredson.
