Maybe a more likely source is the cinema, not print publications. Mickey
Mouse cartoons were regularly shown in German cinemas in 1931 and
earlier. And I would not be surprised if the same is true for the
Netherlands.

Dear all,

A simple question which may seem stupid but I need to know the answer for
sure:

Have Mickey and Minnie ever got married? Are they even engaged?

Many thanks,
Jehan

P.S. I am looking also for the story 'Golden Sheep'. Does anyone have it in
English?

Here's the quote in "Christmas in Duckburg", first published
in Christmas Parade #9, 1958;
on page 10, panel 2, Donald is told "So you'll have to
leave right away, as you'll only be able to travel by
daylight!" The headlamp of the train engine was
smashed by the Beagle Boy's club, shown in panel 1.
Donald and HDL have come to Canada to take
Scrooge's 100-foot Christmas tree to Duckburg,
but Ollie Eiderduck hired 2 Beagle Boys to cut 20 feet
out of the middle of the tree, which they do on the next
page. The story doesn't show how they joined the
2 sections left----sounds like a good trick!
It took a while to find this quote, as I had misread
the clue, and was thinking of stories where traveling
had to be done only at night, instead of daylight.
Best wishes, Larry Giver.

That's because the CBL in Color albums have been indexed entirely,
while the CBL (in b/w) only has an index of the comic work, and not the articles.

We are (slowly) working on better indexes for the CBL.

I agree, in principle. The few Barks non-Disney stories that I added a while ago will remain the exception.

This is the horseradish story (Barks, of course), which has no title originally.
Inducks code is W OS 495-02. It was printed in Germany a.o. in Sonderheft #2.

Yes, the Dutch give the different characters consistently different names
(in Dutch: Lizzy, Juultje, Babetje).
But I don't know by head who is who...

Unfortunately, our COA search website for Inducks has been unavailable for some weeks now.
And it looks like it will be unavailable for some more time.

One (very simple) webpage may help in the meantime:

http://bolderbast.inducks.org/xsearch.html

With this, you can make listings for creators, characters, subseries, and also search for "any text".

Here are some properties:

- it's very fast;
- the output is quite compact (originally meant to be printed on paper);
- there are some "bugs" here and there;
- the webpage may be considered a bit "user-unfriendly".

(Actually, this webpage is an interface to a program that I already made in 1994...)

The service is running on S?ren Krarup Olesen's PC (thanks S?ren!).
See how you like it.

I know some people in my direct environment who always wear a cap to hide the fact that they are bald (or balding)...

I can say that the Barks non-Disney stories were include in Inducks "By Popular Demand".
This means there are many Barks fans who prefer to have a complete Barks comic index.

It's a bit tiresome to have to go to a different place to get information about Barks' few non-Disney stories.

So I made the exception because:
1. Barks is THE most popular Disney comics creator;
2. The amount of included non-Disney comics is VERY small.

jehan hasan:

My simple answer: yes.

Comics is a medium. And it is possible to have quality content in any medium.
If the medium is printed on paper, then the quality content is usually called literature.

Geoffrey Blum is currently writing stories based on ideas by Barks (for Egmont in Denmark).
The ideas range from very rough ideas to complete story outlines, that Barks wrote in letters to various people.

I think "From Dime to Dime" is one of these stories.

Probably they think you already got an answer from other Italians.
I know there are many Italians here on DCML, and the ones I know
do not dislike the Dutch. 8-)
