Sure. But if he does die in another interpretation, then it's surely in an
adventure that "was quite a dilly".
And I agree it should never be told. It simply cannot be.

Most certainly. An epic battle, where he certainly makes the ultimate
sacrifices (remember the recent messages on "your money or your life") to
save Donald and the Nephews, and certainly (at least) Duckburg as well--
kind of like the finale chase of "A Little Something Special" and the
great risks of "The Universal Solvent".
But it can never be told, even though it made him even more a legendary
person than he already was.

I tend to imagine that Scrooge will pass away quietly in his sleep.
After a day of polishing his Gold Doublons, sorting his rubies
and a final refreshing bath in his money pool he will go to bed and
not awake the other morning. He will die a happy old duck of 100 years
amongst the trophies of past adventures at the natural end of a
full and rich life.

Ah yes, another very nice end. Dreaming of Goldie and his childhood? ...
A bit like the conclusion of L&T, in the Bin.

Not everyone can read German, and the person who made scan in the first
place could be a Dane or a Dutch or what so ever.

Only if that person has his/her own Disney-realated WEB-page. I believe the
scan was originaly done for D.U.C.K.hunt. My guess is that AC or Thomas may
be able to enlighten us more about this.

Well "The Sign of the Triple Distelfink" is AFAIK published in the US. He
didn't mention that story either.

Anyway, I am sorry if my answer is seen as offending towards Daniel. That
was *not* my intention - at that time I just found it strange that he didn't
mention Don Rosa at all - strange because Don Rosa is the most known of the
active creators/writers of Disney's Duck comics. Anyway I now think the
reason is that he's reffering to the stories he grew up with some decades
ago - before modern creators like Don Rosa, William van Horn, etc. were
active.

Or to be more presise as we both are Norwegians:

Hi   I find Brigitta Macbridge puzzling. What is her relationship with Scrooge all about. It comes off as a kind of love/fear thing. He (Scrooge) sees her as a goldigger and does not trust her, yet his nephews are sympathetic towards her and help her in her schemes to be Scrooge's would-be girlfriend. How far did Scarpa go in developing her character? I've only read the three stories that Gladstone+ Gemstone have printed.

Oooooops! ;) Sorry! I meant within the Rosa universe, since
Jose has only appeared there once. I'll go flog myself with an
oolated squigg now. LOL! ;)

As I remember it she is a rather nice gal who is honestly in love with
Scrooge.
But he not with her.

Could Brigitta be the answer to Don Rosa's recent question on this list:

from

If so, than that makes her the first villain that can't be viewed in simple "black and white"
like Glomgold, the Beagle boys, and Magica, but one that could not be labeled "villain."

You're right, he generally treats so as if she was a "goldigger", but deep
inside he knows well that she's not. And so do his nephews, especially HDL
that often (as it happens in many S-coded stories line "The One-Million
Chase" in the latest Gemstone US issue) hang around with her and help her
get to Scrooge.

About the development... well, actually, of course, nothing really changes,
because nothing CAN change it being a Disney comic (you can't see Scrooge
and Brigitta get married (*)), but generally you can see that often she
teams up with Jubal Pomp (or Jubal Cock, whatever he's called in the US) to
create some kind of business against Scrooge... but generally her purpose
remains to show him that she's good at business just as he is (While Jubal
actually thinks to be the greatest businessman who ever lived)

(*) Actually they DID get married once, or almost ;-) in a story by Massimo
De Vita though, not by Scarpa... but I guess it's the best non-Scarpa
Brigitta story ever written.

That was a rhetorical question that Rosa answered himself in the
same post. He was referring to Arpin Lusene, the Black Knight.
(Plus, "fellow" or "fella" is almost always a male in English.)

Although seeing Brigitta as a villain...now there's an
interesting thought! I playfully loathe her because she's a
threat to the Scrooge & Goldie relationship, but if not for that
I'd think she was a fun character. ;)

How was Brigitta introduced? What was the first story in which
she appeared? I thought it was "The Last Balaboo" but at least
in the Gladstone version I have she wasn't exactly "introduced."
She just sort of appeared like she'd always been a part of the
duck universe. Is there a story that explains how she met
Scrooge and first fell for him?

True. Although sometimes change would be a good thing.
*grumble grumble Daisy's ridiculous bow grumble grumble* ;)

Thank goodness. Goldie would kill her! ;)

Yes, but from what I understand of that story it wasn't a purely
romantic gesture on Scrooge's part. You can certainly argue
that he is fond of her, in his own way, but he didn't ask to
marry her because he loved her. He did that to get a bunch of
land he wanted for his latest business venture. (I do have a
scan of that story in Spanish somewhere, which I can more or
less understand.)

Of course, to be fair, if Scrooge had lured Goldie that close to
the altar for any reason, even the abovementioned motivation, I
would be a quivering puddle of glee. So I'm horribly biased.

I have a favor to ask. Does anyone have a copy of Zio Paperone
118, and if so could you scan the cover and send it to me?

What I'm interested in is getting my hands on these images by
Marco Rota:

As far as I can remember I got gif from you where only the characters were

Described as a picture by Don Rosa of "US on white horse saving
