I recognized the characters, even though I've never seen the movie, but only pictures taken from it.

Yes, those are characters from "Song of The South", and, of course, Bre'r Rabbit comic books (4-Color) and very popular in Dutch weekly and special books. I'm working on a couple of stories with them now.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I am Robb_K.

"Song of the South" has all but been erased from existence here in the States. Disney still won't rerelease it on DVD for fear of backlash (racial insensitivity) and finding anything featuring Bre'r Rabbit and friends is no easy task. (though I did have the pleasure of coloring a handful of stories featuring those characters at Gemstone)

Another work in progress...

Here in Germany all those bre'rs have always been painfully unpopular and have "died out" completely approximately ten years ago. Maybe in Holland it's different, because you had better artists drawing our furry friends? The excellent Carlos Grangel, for instance.

I've read about it on the internet. And some people's oversensitivity is probably the reason why I've never seen the movie. Because even though I believe it's been released on VHS in Europe and Asia, it's never been that popular anywhere, since Disney have done everything to make us forget, that this movie has ever even existed. Those people are so ridiculous, that they don't know half of it.

Sudden change of sex? Dr. K and Ms. Henrieke? :)
Furienna
I wonder that too. Henrieke sounds like a girl's name, but his name seems to be Robert.

Perhaps Rob was simply borrowing Henrieke's computer when he posted that.
Furienna
Yeah, maybe.

Yes, we ARE different people. I forgot to sign her off, and sign on as myself. You can tell we're different-she draws better!
Furienna
Nah, you're equally good. ;)

I love your drawings, Robb. They're very lively and capture the characters well.

Some one asked me to draw Goldie, so here is my first sketch of Goldie:

Not bad, but it seems to me that her head is too big for her body, and her arms are a bit too short.
