Here's a picture of Minnie Mouse someone asked me to draw that posed its own logic problem: Minnie Mouse painting her fingernails. She wears gloves all the time! (Do mice even HAVE fingernails?!) Of course the simple solution was to take Minnie's gloves off.

that "bridge" you drew of the mouse making the pocket billiards ("pool") shot, is NOT the way any decent player would position the fingers in hi/her Guide Hand. The fingers should be positioned spread apart, to make a solid, stationary platform atop the table, so the hand won't move when the stick is thrust. Even though the editors changed my gag, the artist who changed the art, left my guide hand position intact, still not finished setting the hand down. But the inker didn't understand what Donald was doing, and wrongly positioned the weight of Donalds two right-side fingers on his guide hand, sticking up into the air, with the weight fully on the right side of the hand:

Ha! Ha! Notice that the inker and colourist did NOT understand the game of "Pool", nor what a "Pool Table" is. The inker used only the 3 balls used in the game of "Billiards", and the colourist even used the wrong colours for that wrong game). And both the inker AND the colourist mistook the ball nets (which should be made of string) for a solid half-circular storage compartment for the balls.

Thanks. Well, in my defense, I don't usually play pool, and was drawing my picture from memory. The one thing that really messed me up with that picture is that Jerry and Nibbles (from Tom and Jerry) and Mervin are normally mouse-sized and with the exception of the early short "When the Cat's Away", Mickey Mouse is not, so my drawing really couldn't have happened. Here is another pencil sketch I drew of Mickey Mouse:

Nice drawing, Debbie. Mickey's got great expression and liveliness. We really feel that he has a childlike love of stepping in rain puddles and splashing the water up. Attitude is a big part of action. Do you have any objection to telling us how old you are, and if you have any hopes and ambitions to become a professional artist?

Pirates come in all sorts of variations, especially in fiction. Next to the regular pirates, there have been air pirates, space pirates and even land pirates. There's even a Pirates' Party, a political party, and that's in real life! But have you ever heard of road pirates? Probably not; road pirates is Dutch for road hogs. Still, I think that the concept of 'road pirates' would be pretty funny. Quick sketch.
