I'm with Furienna on this one. Great work from Kneon and Quackberg.
Thank you, VoBo!

Kneon, don't waste your time with colouring. Leave that to amateurs like me. Your halloween drawings are awesome! This is what you should be doing, cover art and later maybe stories. I bow my head.

Thanks guys. I'm blushing! I really do like coloring, though! :)
I'd love to draw some stories, but Boom is seemingly just reprinting Italian material for now and I've heard Egmont has been laying off. Someday, maybe...
However I am drawing some sample story pages of... something. Will post when I get them done.
Anyway, here's another Halloween doodle for now...

PSST... if anyone wants to pester Boom about hiring me, please comment on these threads:

Apparently Boom! only takes submissions via their message board. Worth a shot, but I don't think they're doing any original material with the classic characters right now (but who knows!)

Kneon, I thought of doing the same, but for essays-- I have one on a Barks story that's been ready for a year. I wrote Boom! this summer (through the site's main page, during the San Diego Comic Con), but have not received any reply yet. Since then, I have meant to post an excerpt from my essay on their forum, but have not had the time to go through it to pick a few paragraphs.

I don't think they're looking for writing samples right now, just artists. Apparently you just post your work on the forum, and if they're interested, they'll contact you.
Here are their guidelines: http://forums.boom-studios.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4

Ha! I like it. Glomgold's father reminds me of Glomgold's design from DuckTales (with the longer beard.)

Is Flinty's mother related to Miss Quackfaster? :)

Quote from user: Roger NorthI don't know . It would be weird if she was. That would make Ms Quackfaster one of Flintheart's relatives. I can't imagine how awkward the situation would be to have one of Flintheart's relatives working for Scrooge. After all Scrooge and Flintheart are bitter enemies.
Uh oh -- Quackfaster is a spy! ;)

Off the beaten path: My wife talked me out of drawing a one page fan comic where Uncle Scrooge and the boys run into a hungry kraken (who just so happens to be standing in the way of a big ol' pile of treasure.) They need to appease it, so they catapult Webby into its mouth. The kraken goes into a diabetic coma from her sweetness and makes way for Scrooge and co. to nab the treasure... forgetting her name a few minutes later when telling the tale to Donald.
DONALD: How did you get past the kraken, boys?
HUEY: Oh, we fed it a little girl, Unca Donald!
SCROOGE: For the life of me, I can't remember her name. Oh well, one less mouth to feed...
She told me it was too mean spirited.
I'm sure she's right. ;)
