Before I start on the halfpager mentioned above, here's some drawings I made to get back into it. Haven't drawn for a while.

Niet slecht! But, it seems that many of your adult Ducks' heads are slightly too small in comparison to their beaks.

Wow... Some of you could have worked for a Disney comics magazine. :(

Some of us have for quite a while and will continue to do so. Others have started recently and will continue. A couple others on this forum will join them soon.

Very nice, Rob :) I'm working on a christmas/winter type of painting myself. Will post results soon.

Very nice! You really capture the feeling of a cold, crisp day with your use of light and colour. That's my absolute favourite pastime, -playing ice hockey on a frozen pond or lake.

Thanks for uploding all the nice drawings, I just looked at this interesting thread now for the first time. There are obviously many skilled artists here, such as Robb K for example.
I would like to make just one comment on McDuck Menu:s overall unusually Barkslike Ducks.
I can see ONE clear almost systematic difference between Barks and McDuck Menu on for example the very fine color paiting above. The beak seems to be of the longer 1948-1949 Barks type but the eye, i e the pupil seems to be of 1950+ type since I think Barks drew the pupil a bit larger in 1948-1949 (as I remenber now). I noticed this difference also on some other drawings that MacDuck Menu has uploaded. So with a slightly shorter beak the drawing above would probably look extremely Barkslike 1950+ . Alternatively and by me preferred with a bigger pupil you have "discovered" and uploaded a copy of a forgotten Barks "oil painting" from around 1948-1949 :-)
My observation is of course dependant on my long experience in reading the older Barks comics over and over again for decades. Then you get used to the different styles Barks had, but for a newcomer in comic book reading my observation may be totally irrelevant.
Barks Ducks were great in 1950-1951 but I think they were really fantastic around 1948-1949 and therefore I (and many others) have a special feeling for them and it is logical that some talented artists try to draw Barkslike.

Thanks for the Barks comparison ;) I am trying to achieve the 1949 style I think (love it the most too), so maybe I'll have to adjust the pupils a bit in the future.
