Goofy's last name is Goofy? I thought it was "Dawg", as in his registered birth name: "Dippy Dawg" (or is it spelt, "Dippy Dog"?). Wasn't his last name changed to "Goof" (rather than "Goofy") in "The Goofy Movie"? Really, in the 1940s-1960s, didn't he just have one name ("Goofy") like Liberace, Madonna, Twiggy, Houdini, etc?
I guess the name went through several evolutionary processes. It definitely wasn't until "A Goofy Movie" and the show "Goof Troup" that he even got a last name. I guess they had to give Max a surname of some kind; up until then, the world knew his daddy only as "Goofy". :)

I'd like to see Donald's face, while he's looking at that scene! A fight between Donald and Popeye would be interesting. But Popeye's agent would never let him enter The Disney Universe. That would ruin his image, forever.
